My family was going on vacation to Siesta Key and I wanted to have photos taken. My husband and I…read moreare both in video production/marketing, so finding someone we like can be a challenge. But Kimberly's work stood out immediately, and with good reason! She is not only skilled behind the camera, but leading up to our session she set us up for success by providing clear packaging information at reasonable prices and a location guide with all her favorite spots (plus examples). It made planning from a distance so easy! The day of, Kimberly was so great with our children (1 and 3) who were a little skeptical of the beach sand. She brought blankets and stools to make sure they were comfortable and knew how to make them smile. She also had great prompts for my husband and I that made taking photos a fun, intimate, and enjoyable experience. The end result was beautiful. Would highly recommend her for family photos in the Sarasota area!

Lauren, from Butterflies and Bows Photography, photographed my baby's home birth and newborn shoot…read more She was wonderful in both scenarios! At my home birth, she was able to capture the beauty and challenges of labor without interfering with the process. It was so nice, once our baby was born, to not have to worry about photographing all of the important events that take place just after birth (skin to skin, measurements, first feeding, etc.) because we knew Lauren had it covered. We were able to just be with and enjoy our brand new baby knowing all of that would still be documented. With the newborn shoot, she was patient with my sweet baby. She never seemed rushed or annoyed if a certain pose was taking longer than expected and when my daughter didn't seem to like one of the props being used, she was quick to improvise. I would highly recommend Lauren to anyone seeking a photographer to capture a special moment in their life.

It's hard to describe how thrilled I am with Julie. A few weeks before a big family birthday bash…read morefor our mom's 90th birthday, I reached out to four highly-recommended photographers via Yelp. Julie responded within minutes even though it was 8:30 on a Sunday night. After speaking with Julie, her enthusiasm for the project cemented her hire. Responses from the other three trickled in over the next week with "not available" or "no indoor shoots," so I realized I was extremely lucky to get Julie right out of the gate. The logistics of planning a huge birthday party in Florida (from Minnesota) and wrangling twenty family members for a photo shoot ahead of said party plus hiring everyone involved by long distance and hoping it goes as planned the day of were enough to make me start drinking at noon. It's not like I could meet the photographer ahead of time to discuss options, we did it all in a long phone call. And I crossed my fingers. Julie showed up right on time and had even scouted out a place in front of our beach condos where we could get Mom's wheelchair and still have a pretty background, especially for the smaller groups. Julie was so fast, so facile, she snapped and snapped each and every requested combo and even suggested a few more. She got the little ones to smile, everyone looking at the camera, and did it all in under forty minutes! Then we moved inside (HELLO AIR CONDITIONING!) and she snapped candid party pictures until time for food. Because no one wants pictures of themselves eating BBQ, amirite? She was just amazing. We took a few more posed shots and then she left us to enjoy the party. The following day she sent me a quick preview of just two of the photos. The hundreds she took will be culled, edited, curated, and available in a couple of weeks. I appreciate that she will provide links so we can print the ones we want OR order prints through her! I'll update the review when I have more photos, but for now enjoy these lovely shots of our Mom and our family and my full endorsement of Julie Renner Photography for your photo shoot needs!
