My husband really enjoyed how beautiful his golf experience was. The staff are so kind & accommodating. We got lunch once at their restaurant. Everyone loved their food. It was so peaceful and nice. We actually came for a destination wedding! Not sure how many weddings they do, but we had a great time. Beautiful wedding & no complaints as a guest. Be aware however that I have AT&T and had no signal my whole stay. I relied on WiFi.

Introduction: Orchard Trace Golf Course in Hendersonville,…read moreNC is a great spot for a round of golf. It's a par-72 course that measures 6,567 yards from the back tees, making it a great option for experienced players and beginners alike. However, it's not without its flaws--let's take a look at what makes this course both enjoyable and challenging. Blog Body: Layout & Difficulty: The layout of Orchard Trace is fairly straightforward, with few surprises or gimmicks thrown in. Each hole is straightforward and easy to understand, which makes it ideal for golfers of all skill levels. There are also several water hazards throughout the course that can make things interesting if you're not careful. The fairways are generally quite wide and forgiving, but there are some narrow ones as well that can be tricky to navigate. The greens are slightly undulating but mostly flat, so you don't have to worry about having to putt with any major breaks or slopes. Course Conditions & Amenities: Unfortunately, the course conditions at Orchard Trace leave something to be desired. The fairways were quite rough when I played here and the greens were slow and bumpy as well. Additionally, there aren't many amenities onsite--just a small pro shop where you can buy drinks and snacks before teeing off. That said, the staff was friendly and helpful when I visited and they did their best to make sure my experience was enjoyable despite the subpar condition of the course itself. Value for Money: For the most part, Orchard Trace offers good value for money; green fees are fairly reasonable (around $20 for 18 holes) and there aren't any additional costs or hidden fees associated with playing here. All in all, if you're looking for an affordable round of golf in Hendersonville then this is definitely worth considering--just don't expect too much in terms of quality! Conclusion: All things considered, I had a fun time playing at Orchard Trace Golf Course in Hendersonville. While it may not be the best golf course around by any means - due to its rough condition - it still provides an enjoyable experience with great value for money overall! If you're looking for an affordable place to hit the links then this should definitely be on your list of options! Just make sure you bring your own clubs; they don't rent them out here!

The greens are some of the best in town and the fairways get better filled in every year. Traps are mostly redone and the creek on #8 is beautifully cleaned up and widened with rock water features. The grill is fantastic for burgers and beers after a round. They are super accommodating to leagues and we get a great rate for walking 9 holes every week. Glad in an era where some of the great public courses are tiring into new subdivisions that Thai course is opening and back in its glory. The owners also bought another distressed course The Rock a few years back. I have heard they are turning that course around as well. Two bays is a two hour minimum. We chose one of their "feasts" for our lunch food choice, which was 6 slider burgers, 18 wings (2x flavors) and a pound of fries. We got two of these at $65 each and had enough for two lunches left over the next day, probably along with a snack or two from the leftovers. The service from Emma as our primary server was great and she had good help from the friendly Bobby. We played 2-3 games of golf. Four of us had our own clubs. Others used the clubs provided. Some of us were golfers and some were not golfers at all, but everyone had fun. The wings were very good and a surprise that they were so good. The slider burgers also were very good. After this experience, and since it is 1.2 miles to my home. I'm signing up for the summer pass for $180 for two hours per day of play, 10% off food and five guests within restricted hours, such as open to 5PM weekdays, but hey, I'm newly retired and can do that. Plus, comfortable seating and climate control is appreciated and adult beverages are available if one wishes to partake. The only caution is to tip on the food and beverage amount and it is not considered necessary to tip on the game play charges. We had a blast!

Reviews from earlier in the year had steered me away. However, over the past month or so reviews…read morehave turned positive. I think it's fair to say the course came under new management this year, and for the better. Unlike prior reviews, fairways were mowed well, as was the rough, all to proper height. Except for 9, the greens were in great shape. I like greens that are about a 10-11 on stimp, and these were about there, and rolled well. The tees were also in great shape. The fairways and tees have junk grasses that will abate in time with the proper maintenance that the course seems to be getting now. But they are lush and full. I give this one a 3 simply because it has a ways to go, but this is no longer the worst course out there. I'd give it a 3.5, but not yet a 4. A couple greens on the back nine are still recovering with a couple bad spots but nothing like 9. The layout is good, not overly difficult, but not the easiest either. With the course on the mend, they can turn their attention to the carts, and the cart paths. My cart ran well, but the seat cushion was ripped on both sides, and there was no sand dispenser for filling divots. So keep your eye on this one and give them some more time to bring this one around. This could well become one of the best public courses in the area. Keep up the good work there at Palmetto Hills!! And it was well worth the $30.
