Behind this building operates one of the quirkiest drive through bottle shops you'll ever lay eyes on. Story goes that the building is heritage listed, and can't be knocked down. Inside it used to be a fairly popular little wine store, however whoever runs it now uses the land for truck storage, mulch selling and oddly, a drive through bottle shop. I've been through, and the prices are quite steep. That said, I felt as a local I had to try it at least once.

Prices may be similar from store to store, but service is always something that remains unique. The Basin Liquor store is my local Bottle Shop. Although it's part of the Duncan's Chain of liquor stores, this one operates like a little independent, service the thirsts of it's local customers 7 days a week. With a great selection of wines and spirits, it's the beer and pre-mix drinks that are stocked here that keep me coming back. Although Dan Murphy's down the road may do better deals by the carton, or slab, The Basin Liquor always does better deals and has regular specials on their 6 packs. More than often you'll pick up your favourite beer, cider or mixer for a steal here, and the service from the guys is always enough to keep you coming back. Cheers to you lads!
