5 Stars - A Hidden Gem with Big Flavor!…read more We had the pleasure of dining at Smithville Pizzeria recently, and it was hands-down one of the best meals I've had in a long time. This cozy spot has all the charm you'd hope for in a small-town restaurant--welcoming, comfortable, and full of character. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which I shared with my 1 yr old grandson, and it was absolutely delicious. The plate came with three generous, homemade meatballs nestled in a rich, flavourful meat sauce, accompanied by two slices of perfectly toasted Texas garlic bread. Every bite was satisfying and full of homemade goodness. My husband went with the fried chicken, and it did not disappoint! Crispy, well-seasoned, and juicy, served with seasoned fries, coleslaw, and a warm toasted bun--he couldn't stop raving about it. The portions were more than generous, and the food quality was top-notch. You can tell this place takes pride in what they serve. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in--you won't leave hungry or disappointed. We can't wait to come back!

The meat mania pizza was a hit with our teen. The cheeseburger special was great. I ordered the toasted Super Sub and it was one of the best subs I have EVERY had. The sweet (Italian maybe?) sauce was finger licking good. Truly one of the best sandwiches! I'm so glad we stop here!

Wow - very impressive establishment. I was visiting my friend in Niagara and her kids reviewed a…read morenumber of different restaurants in Port Colborne. The Lock Wood Fired Pizza was one of them that they highly recommended. The place has recently been renovated with a wooden extension that have bright red sliding doors as windows. This pizza joint is right off the Lake Eerie and have big boats passing by all day long. There was four of us and we all ordered our own pizzas which were about 12 inches. I opted to build my own pizza which included a base of garlic olive oil, hot peppers, hot honey and sausage. My husband ordered the meat lover and my two other friends built their own pizzas. For drinks, my girlfriend and I shared a flight of six beers, my husband ordered a cider and my other friend ordered the loganberry alcoholic bevy. Oh dang - the cider was one of the best ones I've ever had. Very crisp and fruity flavors, not dry at all and went down very easily. Hands down, i will be visiting that cidery the next time in Niagara (Chill Street Cider in St. Catherine's). Back to the pizza, the oven is imported from Italy and this is a thinner type of pizza. The flavors of my pizza was bombastic - it's definitely spicy but it's a very tasty kick in your mouth. I tried everyone else's pizza, what's very tasty was their cup n char pepperoni - it's spicier than regular pepperoni that's shipped from over the border and adds another kick in the flavor profile. Based on this - what are you waiting for....make ur reservation.

After a lot of subpar slices around the region, I was a bit hesitant but when I saw hand pulled soda, I had to drop in as I was curious. I dropped in and looked around. Cool looking spot and they offered a few different slice options. There was a what looked like vegan option which was sauce, garlic and I assume olive oil. I asked about their most popular slice and they said the pepperoni. Looking at the slice it, I definitely wanted to try it. It was cup and char style pepperoni. They asked if I wanted it reheated, I said yes and in no time I got my slice to try. I grabbed a seat by the window and looked up and down the empty street. I took a bite and yup, best slice I've had in the area in awhile. I will admit the slices are way more expensive than most places at $6 but it's a substantially larger slice and higher quality. Would come back to try some other slices or grab a whole pie. I didn't end up getting a hand pulled soda but will.

Our initial choice was closed, so we figured we'd give Di's Pizza Pies a shot. The place was minutes from closing down for the day, but they did have a couple slices of Pepperoni ("Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Battistoni Cup and Char Pepperoni, Pecorino") left, so we ordered one each and waited as they were heated up. I was a little skeptical as the slice was handed to me, as it looked a little pathetic and super dry. My worries proved to be unfounded as it's a delicious slice of 'za. (Would it have been better fresh? Of course.) The plentiful pepperoni is the big star here, as it's flavorful and irresistibly crispy. The rest of the pie complements it quite well, and though I was expecting to only eat a few bites, I wound up scarfing the whole thing down in record time. If I'm ever in the area again, you know I'm going to stop by and order a whole pie.
