While heading to the my partner's family reunion, we made a detour to this place. The Buttonwood Covered Bridge is a covered bridge built in the late 1800's over Blockhouse Creek in the township of Jackson in Lycoming County, PA. The bridge is the shortest and most heavily used of the three covered bridges remaining in this county. It is interesting to find out that Peter Sechrist is one of my partner's ancestors and was one of the first settlers to arrive in Jackson Township. read more
