Top of the mountain and a gorgeous view
    Eric C.

The mountain was beautiful and spacious. We stayed downtown, so it was very easy to get to. There is plenty of parking at the base of the mountain for free, plus you can take the free bus directly to the mountain. The employees at Four Mountains were very helpful setting us with quality rentals to be safe and ready to tackle the slopes. Everyone working the lift areas were super helpful and gave quality advice to make sure you and others stayed safe. My only drawbacks, not negatives, were the food quality to price at the mountain. This could be a huge positive for the resort, but needs some attention. There were plenty of options, everyone working was super nice, but just a little pricy for what you get. Then again, you are paying for convenience.

I love the mountains it was so clean and organized perfect for a family vacation but the only bad thing was the food for example they serve Karen air for 50 bucks ! And is not good is too naughty and creamy but you should go there

ONLY 3 PEOPLE on that Entire Run!!! UnReal!!

As far as just Buttermilk Mountain, it's probably one of the Best Beginner/Learning mountains in the country. Why? Because: - Ski school instructors are outstanding - Rental shop uses the best brands - Rossignol, Salomon, Volkl, etc - Rental shop is right next to the lifts - Never any lift lines - Great bunny hill at the base to learn on - Rest of the mountain is good for learning and others as well who might be in your group who are Intermediate skiers, so you don't have to split up - Mountain is always empty! Just a great place to learn or for beginners to go to or for families as well. Wish I had learned here! ----------------------------------- As far as Aspen as a Whole, everyone knows Aspen is 5-Stars...the town, the restaurants, the nightlife, the people, all 4 mountains. It's all Top Notch, and the best Ski Resort Town in the Americas (both North and South), in my opinion. Even skiers in Europe, South America and Japan know Aspen. Most skiers rate ski resorts on just the mountain (extreme level) and snow. I'm different. I rate ski resorts as an Overall Package...the mountains, snow, amenities (lifts, rentals, food on mountain), apres ski, crowds and what the people are like, nice restaurants, bars/clubs/nightlife, higher-end lodging with outdoor hot tubs, etc. I'll admit, I don't go skiing just to ski, I go for the food and nightlife too, and well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't like to be pampered while I'm at it, lol. Going up and down the mountain to just ski, packing my own lunch, and just having a few beers back at the room while smoking pot is not my thing, as it is with most skiers, especially ski bums, lol. So, given that, for me, the Best Ski Resorts in the World are: 1. Verbier, Switzerland 2. Aspen, Colorado 3. Chamonix, France 4. St. Anton/Lech, Austria 5. Cortina, Italy 6. Zermatt, Switzerland 7. Ischgl, Austria 8. Whistler, Canada 9. Bariloche, Argentina 10. Niseko, Japan And Yes, I've been to almost every major ski resort in the World - 22 West Coast, 17 East Coast, 9 in Europe, 6 in Canada, 4 in South America and 2 in Japan. So, as you can see, I love Aspen! And if there's any place you should ski at least once in your lifetime, it should be here! Just my opinion.

Buttermilk is a fabulous area to enjoy your outdoor skiing/snowboarding adventure. I took a couple adult ski lessons, since it had been awhile. They were terrific! Small group size and very detailed instructions. I was able to ski the remaining five days on my own (blue/green trails). Staff members are extremely friendly and courteous with A+ customer service.

The smallest of the 4 mountains in and around Aspen. Geared for beginners as it contains most of the green runs available in the area. Most of the runs are gentle and wide and perfect for learners and families. Lots of clases at the ski school at the base of the mountain for both kids and adult beginners. Has a small park on the western slope. The Tiehack lift area has decent intermediate blue and black terrain that can be enjoyed by advanced skiers, though the runs are a bit short. The lift is quite fast though. There's plenty of parking around and decent dining options, both at the base and at the top of the mountain. Regular free bus service runs runs towards both Aspen and Snowmass Village. It is rarely crowded, and the Tiehack slope especially can be quite desolate even during the busiest times, great for skiers who like to have the runs to themselves. The only downside is après scene isn't really happening (aside from X-Games) if that's something that's important to you. It's the site of the Winter X-Games when it becomes overrun with people. Has some spectacular views on the top backside of the mountain towards Aspen Highlands and the valley in-between.

Strapping up and ready to shred it up.

Great place for true corduroy early in the morning and nice long trails. Love this mountain along with Snowmass and Aspen Highlands.

My kids were extremely happy after a full day lesson and had a positive experience we might drive 4 hours again for.

Between the eight of us, we had so many flights that were canceled/rebooked/ late getting in, and ski butlers had no problem accommodating all of the changes. Not only were they so accommodating, but their service and equipment was as good as it gets. We highly recommend them to anybody who's looking to ski or snowboard. We rented both skis and snowboards and helmets from them. We didn't have any problems with any bit of our equipment. Our 6 kids range from 17 to 26 and they were all happy. Anybody with multiple kids knows that they're not always all happy. So I would say, it was a huge success. Thank you Ski Butlers!!! We will see you again in March.

Riley and his team provided the most amazing customer service I have EVER experienced…read more -When I arrived in Aspen last Friday, Riley delivered two different-sized bikes to my hotel, the St. Regis. He fitted and adjusted the bike for me and provided a bike lock and a helmet. - On Saturday, when I reported having trouble finding the beginning of the Rio Grande Trail, he offered to have his team either drop me off or ride with me to the opening so that I could find it. They also will pick you up along the trail if you bike toward Basalt and don't want to do the uphill ride back. - Later Saturday night, I realized I'd need a basket to carry my phone and wallet on the trail ride. Riley came to the hotel and attached a basket to the bike, before 9 a.m. Sunday, which is when I said I'd need it. In the basket, he left a map, highlighted with my route. -He picked it up on Monday when I left to go home. Riley consistently surpassed my expectations with each interaction. I only actually saw him one time, when he delivered the bike. The rest of this work was done behind the scenes. I wish every business were as accommodating!
