There were a lot of staff around helping and keeping an eye on things, which is always good. Multiple discounts, so check for those. Prices are reasonable even without them. Parking was packed on a busy day, but we found a spot. It's in a big park so no other crowded places nearby. A great draw for the area.

My family and I ended up here after a dinner out, we had no plans to visit, just came in a whim, and it quite a nice, mild night to do so. Traffic was light, cost was, well, not that low (though I felt the cost didn't match the experience...$25 a car, for a drive that took less than 30 minutes). The lights were beautiful, yet a bit on the minimal side. Held every year, still a nice thing to do with your family, or significant other to "put the cherry on top" of the Christmas holiday. I think there is massive room for improvement and making things just look nicer. I think those in charge could learn a lot from how the Great Council State Park was done. There's a lot of it, including handicap spots right up front. The museum is huge, way bigger than I expected, with two floors and different sections that go in order through history, which was really cool. It's also completely free to get in and park, which is a big plus. The kids loved the interactive exhibits, and the staff was really helpful and knew their stuff if you had questions. We grabbed food at the cafeteria and it wasn't bad at all. Definitely recommend, especially if you have kids and need something fun to do.
