The first thing…read moremost of you will assume is that it will be more expensive than the nearby Homebase but that is simply not the case. The prices in Baydis are actually very reasonable and I have often found products to be cheaper in Baydis than in Homebase (paint rollers, satin paint, sandpaper etc). They are quite a small shop but stock a large selection of the little bits and bobs you need when completing any form of DIY. This is complimented by the fact that the shop assistants are very knowledgeable and will assist you when trying to find the right item. If you need a specialist paint or anything that is hard to find in Homebase or B&Q then the likelihood is Baydis will stock it. I am glad this shop is continuing to do well considering there is a Homebase just up the road. It has the feel of a proper DIY shop and has earned itself many regular customers. I strongly recommend you check your local traders before going to nationals.

They also make furniture to order (my laptop is resting on our one of a kind coffee table as I type!) and will strip doors etc. Prices a pretty good too.

Was confronted by a middle aged woman whose blonde hair was as authentic as her plastic personality, chewing gum, and with the attitude of a wart hog - and scarely more attractive; who looked me up and down as though I'd asked her for a blow job, and requested she pay me for the privilage. Overpriced stock. Proves that pikeys belong in traveller encampments, not attempting to run a high street business.
