Our dog has stayed at this kennel multiple times. They always take great care with him. Would highly recommend.

I've been coming here since 2020, and they've always taken such great care of my pets. The staff is…read morekind, patient, and you can tell they truly love animals. They've helped me through everything from routine visits to little emergencies, and I always leave knowing my pets are in good hands. I won't go anywhere else! Took in two runts who were lethargic and very very sickly, had infections, malnourished, parasites, fleas, goopy eyes and couldn't see. Once I was able to capture them, I immediately took them to Dogwood and Dr. Kelly was able to check me in last minute and assess their health and prescribe medication. Now, they got a second chance at life! (check photos)

Their communication is horrific and the vet is extremely rude…read more At the end of January, I got a chest x-ray for my cat because they suspected asthma and needed to decide between steroids or an inhaler. I paid extra for a second opinion, and after waiting over a month with no update, I had to repeatedly call just to get any info. I was eventually told she had asthma, but not which medication would be best or give the verdict on the second opinion. The only time the actual vet EVER called me back, she told my cat had a slightly enlarged heart (they initially did NOT tell me this and I asked them to take extra care checking her heart bc at that time I had just lost my cat a few months ago to heart failure that was misdiagnosed as an allergic reaction by VEG animal hospital in kirkwood) and said it could be asthma, heartworms, or lung disease, and that I needed more testing. I tried following up for weeks, but kept getting told they'd "leave a note," with no call back. On April 8th, I called again for to ask about the medication, copies of the x-ray, and to check their appointment availability for the testing at this point I was already looking into changing vets just because of the lack of communication (or care apparently) I get told again that they'll leave a note and she'll call back that day or tomorrow, they'll send over the x-rays, and they'd call back within an hour to schedule the testing. After another business week of no response and no email, I called back on the 15th and FINALLY got the vet on the phone. Before I could even speak, said she didn't understand why we were having this conversation in a tone that made her clear she thought the call was ridiculous. She told me my cat 100% does NOT have asthma, something I was never told and dismissed me when I told her she never said that, just laughed and said "I don't know what you want me to tell you I have it right here in my notes." When I asked what medication would help my cat's symptoms, she talked down to me like I was an actual fucking idiot and kept repeating that I just didn't understand and said "why would we give asthma medication to a cat that doesn't have asthma." Steroids whether they are oral or inhalants are not limited to asthma treatment and are very commonly used for cats with lung disease or to manage breathing issues and they told me to give her steroids as needed to help with her symptoms... I told her I didn't appreciate her tone, and she still acted confused about why we were even talking. I told her their lack of communication is exactly why we were having this conversation! She said and I quote "why would we call back 2 or 3 times about the same thing." Yeah why would yall when you don't even call back ONCE When I asked where the x-rays I requested were, she suddenly had nothing to snarky say and she just sat there quiet.. okay yeah... thought so... Suddenly they knew how to send an email same day after that call.. I've been nothing but patient, respectful, grateful and this is how I was treated. It makes me so sad. Years ago, they mishandled my other cat with a serious back injury, and I gave them another chance years later thinking things had improved but they haven't. I'm typically not one for writing reviews so I probably didn't word this as well as I'd have liked to but please don't go here if you expect actual updates on the testing you're spending hundreds on or basic respect. The experience I had with them was so disheartening especially after losing one of my cat less than a year ago to heart failure. I'm just trying to do what's best for my cat's health so she can live a long healthy life and they made it so difficult and only added more stress onto the process.
