We recently had the captain's chairs in our 2014 Tiffin Phaeton reupholstered by Burroughs Custom Upholstery (BCU), and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
After 68,000+ miles, our chairs had definitely seen better days. The foam was completely broken down, and we were basically sitting on the springs. While the frames and overall condition were still solid, they desperately needed a refresh to match the interior updates we've been making.
We scheduled our appointment several months in advance, and that planning really paid off. Since BCU regularly works on Tiffin models, they already had the patterns on hand and our new upholstery was pre-cut and ready to go. What impressed us most was the turnaround time: these guys knocked it out of the park. The team pulled the chairs out shortly after 1:00 PM on Monday and had them back to us by 2:00 PM Tuesday. That kind of efficiency is hard to beat.
While the work was being done, we stayed onsite in one of their full hookup spots. It was peaceful, quiet, and honestly a little retreat of its own. Spring was in full bloom, and we enjoyed relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery. They even offered to install temporary seating if we needed to drive the rig for other service while they worked, this shows just how thoughtful and customer-focused they are.
When the chairs came back, we were blown away. They look and feel brand new. They sit taller,are more supportive, and incredibly comfortable. Best of all, they perfectly match the couch upholstery work we had done back in October 2024, tying everything together beautifully.
