I usually enjoy visiting this establishment; however, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I arrived approximately 15 minutes before closing to order a light snack -- simply a burrito -- and was immediately met with unwelcoming behavior. There was no greeting upon entering, only eye rolls and dismissive looks, and I was not assisted until several minutes later despite there being no line or rush at the time.
As I began placing my order with the employee at the front, whose name was Daya, her demeanor became increasingly rude and unprofessional. She aggressively handled the preparation of my food, appeared visibly irritated, and rushed through the order without asking any of the standard questions regarding additional toppings or whether my order was complete. She then wrapped the burrito, placed it in a bag, and proceeded as though the interaction was over.
Additionally, the meal was supposed to include chips, yet none were offered or included until I specifically asked for them. When I did, she responded with another eye roll, which only added to the discomfort of the interaction.
I completely understand that the staff was nearing closing time, and as someone who also works in customer service, I know those shifts can be exhausting. However, customers should still be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism, especially when the restaurant was not busy and there was only one customer being assisted. The level of hostility I experienced felt entirely unnecessary and left me very dissatisfied with both the service and the employee's attitude. read more
