Quality of service here has dropped tremendously over the past couple weeks. Ordered 15 mins ahead of arriving and still had to wait 10 mins when I got there on a couple of occasions. Idk if they gave my order to someone else or what..customer service had also started to lack. No bueno! read more

They have put a tiny note - due to high cost, prices went up by 15%. But every thing is hiked up by 25-28%. I had to pay $10.35 (I was told $9.25+tax) for a $7.25 sandwich on menu. Burnside robbery- ha ha No wonder island bagels is always crowded and they are barely serving one or two customers. read more

The guy working the counter is always nice, the breakfast box hits every time. BEC sometimes is hit or miss a little bit stingy w the bacon but tastes so good. Great selection of beverages as well. read more

This place has got really delicious belgian fries! The fries are cooked in peanut oil I believe and there are many dipping sauces to choose from. I really liked the basil sauce the best. Sounds like a strange combination: fries fried in peanut oil with basil dipping sauce, but it's definitely good. I've had the fries so many times now, but I look forward to coming back and getting a sandwich for once. The menu looks interesting and I haven't been disappointed by the fries ever. Also, this is the only place I know of in the Five Towns and nearby that actually has belgian fries. Usually I just trek to the city for the belgian fries at Pommes Frites, so, it's nice to have belgian fries in this area too. read more

An OK place to eat in this part of town. I got a Florida sandwich, which had grilled ham, bacon, tomato, lettuce and honey mustard. While it was a good mix and good size, it wasn't anything spectacular. It was just a good sandwich. The Belgian fries were the supposed hit of this place. I thought it was alright though. I like my fries crispy and they weren't the best. The oil that it was fried in tasted old and slightly rancid. The jalapeno cheddar dipping sauce was good, but where was the cheddar flavor? It was also runny, looking as if it was watered down. The chipotle sauce was good I thought. Conclusion: This place isn't bad when you want something simple. Sandwich and fries to get a good lunch in. Nothing too special about this place though. They don't deliver to the Rockaways though so if you are working at a certain hospital there, you'll have to go pick it up yourself. read more

This was my first time here. I wasn't impressed. I thought the Belgian fries would at least be made fresh but it's frozen fries, judging from the taste and texture of it. Now I'm not saying they taste bad. Who has ever had bad fries before? Not me lol. But I was expecting real pomme frites fries. The burger I had was small but pretty good for what it was. The appearance of the place was a thumbs down. I don't think they have enough space in the back to hold their inventory because you see boxes and packages all around the place. Also, all of the food in the cooler (potato salad, macaroni salad, etc) looked so dried out. Probably has been sitting there for days. They have like 20 different sauces that you can choose for the fries but they are all placed in the cooler. Looks like 50 little cups of each flavor. The first thing I thought was "How long have these been sitting in here?". Overall, I was expecting a better experiences but I was disappointed. read more

Amazing food been a local here all my life and they take care of you here. Good vegetarian options too

Worst BLT I ever had! They didn't even put Mayo on it. Also Messed up my order on a turkey sandwich. Told them no onions and of course they put onions and didn't add any mayo or anything. Threw out the BLT...couldn't even eat it. read more

Burnside will forever have my heart. The owner is super friendly and so patient. It's never too busy so it's great if you just wanna grab a bite and chat for a bit. They have a lot of drinks to chose from as well which is a big thumbs from me!! I highly recommend The Godfather(add honey mustard) & the Grand Canyon! read more

This spot is extremely inconsistent. Along with the lack of energy and rude responses from the person at the counter, the quality of food that is made taste as if it was frozen for many years. Most of the sandwiches I've order has been either missing something I've asked for or just sloppy. All my orders have been messed up every single time no matter if i call for pick up or i order at the restaurant. Living in the community and a supporter of local restaurants, this place has got a lot to change. read more
