Seriously the BEST veterinary care anywhere! When vacationing at our summer home in Dennis during…read morethe 4th of July holiday, my pug came down with a narrly ear infection...and they took incredible care of him...he needed to be sedated because he was in pain and wouldn't let them clean his ear...he was right as rain after his treatment...and it didn't break the bank! If you have pets, this is the place to go!

I originally went there to have my dog neutered but was told he had to have an exam first . So sadly I missed my appointments .Finally on the fourth attempt I was an hour late and a very nice woman vet saw me . As we were done she said the estimate for the surgery would be emailed to me . I left the appointment and was sitting back in my car and there was this voicemail from Kristen who told me they didn't want me as a customer. Prior to that a paid $90 for a missed appointment my punishment. I messaged this lady back and said I just finished seeing the vet and she told me to wait for an email for the surgery. I tried explaining to her why I was late mainly stemming from a brain tumor which totally turned my world upside down so she I guess felt bad but them she had another opportunity. I eventually got the estimate for his surgery of $1300 maybe 1400 . I couldn't believe it most neutering I knew went from about $500 to 800 . So I think Kristin took that as an opportunity to get rid of me !! Oh well . They need a lot of help in compassionate understanding , pricing and animal care .

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists Dennis - The sheet of paper Doc gave us where he listed the three tumors it likely was, when in fact it was an ABSCESS

This location is now CCVS (Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists). - - - Dr. Morgan Myrick was incredibly helpful when we had to bring our kitty in for an emergency visit (our normal vet is located in Central MA). I can't recommend CCVS enough! The staff was kind, helpful, quick, responsive and treated our cat with care and respect. They helped us figure out her health issues quickly and got her the medication she needed to get her feeling better within an hour. - - - Please disregard previous reviews (prior to 2019) when CCVS was under different ownership.

As soon as we walked in the receptionist looked at him and said "oh looks like it may be an abscess" which is what we were thinking too. Granted he has some vet anxieties which we told them about, Dr. Lee did not examine our dog at all and did not even weigh him. He poked the swollen part of his face with a pen like object and said since it's hard, it's a tumor. He wrote down three possible tumors on a piece of paper, said "I'm sorry to tell you this" several times, and said an X-ray would be 2k and surgery would be 10k, but would be risky due to placement and his age. We left with antibiotics and pain meds. We took our dog to Angell Memorial in Boston the next morning. After extensive testing and examinations, they confirmed it was an ABSCESS, not a tumor and drained it, and also drained all the fluid from his neck. They also nicely informed us the antibiotic Dr. Lee prescribed was nowhere near enough for my dog's weight. Makes sense since they didn't even weigh him. See below post from another lady who was also told her dog had CANCER when it was just an asbcess. It's awful to tell patients their dog has cancer, without any extensive testing, and to make them worry all night long that their dog is going to die. I'll never bring my animals back to this location. I'd also like to add the sheet of paper he gave us where he listed the three cancers it probably was.

I met her at a different animal hospital, and liked the way she interacted with my very sick cat at the time, her approach and demeanor was a perfect match for me as a human client, and my cat loved her. I knew then that she was "the one" that I wanted to care for my animals. Since that first meeting, my brood has grown, and I faithfully drive an hour each way when my animals are in need. Her staff is professional and courteous. Her vet techs are extremely knowledgable and helpful. One of my favorite things about Dr. Neese and her staff is they are all very animal-centric, science and clinical practice aside, each and every person at that office, including the people that work the front desk, are there because they love and care about animals. They cherish the bond between animals and owners, and are there to nurture that. Dr. Neese personally has come to my house numerous times for house calls when my very old cat could no longer make the trip to see her. She has come during off hours, on weekends and in the evening. She has always explained things clearly to me, so I understand my options and possible outcomes. As a vet, she is like no other. Im truly blessed and comforted knowing that I have an amazing vet that I trust to care for my animals. I highly recommend her and her staff.
