I was very impressed with my whole experience with Burnaby Blacktop. From my initial contact with the company to the end of the project, the service was amazing. The crews that came out to do the work were respectful and very thorough. I would definitely recommend Burnaby Blacktop for even a small residential job like mine! read more

The whole process was smooth, professional and quick! Our driveway was not a standard remove and replace, and they went above and beyond to meet our needs. The price was reasonable and the finished driveway looks fantastic. read more

Burnaby Blacktop provides excellent service and work. The blacktop I needed to fill and smooth a large area at the edge of the lane and my backyard was not a huge job but BB did the job quickly and efficiently. The crew were great, friendly and professional. They offered some ideas to improve the "plan" I had in mind. The results were impressive. They curbed the edge at the lane and they sloped the whole patch so water runs off and it is easy to wheel waste bins in and out of the small shed I have. These guys know what they're doing. I would use them again in an instant. Bonus - great sense of humour and a joy to be around. Peace of mind rather than using a guy who knocks on the door offering some "leftover" blacktop for a discount! Don't do it! Call BB! By the way, I have no connection to BB other than being a satisfied customer. read more

Highly recommend these guys.. friendly service, great communication and amazing work with great value.

Front yard and driveway repair and top coat. The crew was efficient and performed professionally. I was impressed that they all seemed to enjoy their work and were happy on the job. Shows the company is well run and the workers are happy. The foreman made sure what I wanted and explained how the job would be carried out. The whole operation was done by three different crews but was finished seamlessly, except for one small glitch, that one of the crew forgot some material and had to go back to the shop to get it. Overall it was a job well done . read more

We hired Burnaby Blacktop to install an updated asphalt driveway in our Port Moody home. Their team was responsive, and the asphalt driveway looks good, except for one important thing: the heavy equipment that the company brought to lay the asphalt left behind an incredibly stained, trashy-looking mess on the roadway in front of our home, which has rather spoiled the look of our nice little cul-de-sac and left the neighbours furious with us. Burnaby Blacktop subsequently acknowledged that their team seems to have released a big puddle of used diesel fuel on the road, and then tracked big black tractor-trailer marks in big spirals around the street. When we expressed our distress to the company, and asked how to get the street cleaned up, their polite reply was "sorry about that - the stains should fade over time." We're putting our home on the market soon, and suddenly the street in front of our house has become a public eyesore. read more

Burnaby Blacktop - Project left serious road stains and heavy tire track mess. Company just said 'sorry about that - will fade in coming years' - Masonry/Concrete Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

Crazy cold Christmas week temperatures along with freezing rain meant we came back to a driveway with a few potholes in it. Chris the estimator came out quick after we called for a quote and gave us a few quotes from a minimal job that just fixed the potholes all the way up to a complete driveway repave. Burnaby Blacktop was great in putting up with our scheduling requests, and I'd have no qualms about recommending them to a friend! read more

Residential parking area for repair with subsequent sealant application. Very customer oriented. prepared a quote within a day of providing the specs. Provided electronic quote via email. Arranged date for the work to get done. The crews that attended, arrived on time, were polite and courteous. Jobs were completed with very little disruption and the workmanship was very good! read more

I did not hire them, nor am I ever likely to. They were hired by an owner or contractor re a house across the lane from me, it appears. First, they blocked the lane without even a sign at the end. As there is a hill, you don't know if you can get around or not until you drive up. Second, they parked a digger in my back yard/parking area without permission. When I came along, the worker simply said, "Oh, is that your property?" and then moved it off. The gall of these people. read more

BE AWARE This is the Shitty Job **BURNABY BLACKTOP** did on our driveway. Its cracked and broken in so many places I did not even capture all of the deficiencies! I really don't think in the 3 years since initial install there should be so many cracks and breaks. Please SHARE SHARE SHARE. This for me. I don't want anyone else to have our experience. The kicker is when they were coming to complete the job they were issued 1 ticket on the way to get the supplies for not properly securing their load and then they were returning to our house and they were issued a second ticket for the same infraction. You would think first ticket would be a deterrent. This made them really late to complete the job. The one day job became 2 days plus. Do not use this company! read more

Repaving project of our entire townhouse complex. Excellent service from the entire team. Danny in sales was outstanding as was Graham and Lavelle (hope I've spelled his right) in operations. The work was scoped and executed to our requirements perfectly, which was not an easy task as we had to keep roads accessible for residents with mobility issues! They completed on time and on budget. I can't say enough about how well this job went! read more

We have no hesitation in recommending Burnaby Blacktop. The job was to remove the asphalt driveway, side carport and in front of gate and replace it with asphalt. They also suggested adding a curb which we did not have before and that we are happy with. All staff we dealt with were punctual, professional, polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. One disappointed we experienced was when we phoned to confirm the original date of the paving and were told that there was no one home when the prep crew came to remove the driveway. Had we carefully read the email from Burnaby Blacktop, we would have seen that there were two separate email messages regarding dates - one for prep and one for paving. The work was automatically rescheduled to 3 weeks later. It would have been better had Burnaby Blacktop ensured that we knew the date for the prep work, e.g., via a phone call or that we confirm receipt of the email (like they asked for when they sent the invoice to pay). Also - after the prep crew left for the day, I discovered that the automatic gate closer was not working and that there was minor metalwork damage. Burnaby Blacktop immediately (within a few hours) repaired these problems. We are impressed by their quick follow-up and great service. read more

I've used Burnaby Blacktop exclusively for miscellaneous jobs big and small at my two Industrial terminal facilities. The level of service and workmanship you get from this team is second to none. We reached out to Burnaby Blacktop for a scope of work that needed to be done. The tricky part was that our business was still open and we would all have to be able to work around one another. We could not be happier with the completed work. The integrity and work ethic of the crew was fantastic. The clarity of the estimate and final price was great. Quality work with fair pricing. From one business owner to another. Thanks for the completed work and making our experience great. Look forward to other projects to come. Bryan- Big O Tires Port Coquitlam read more

job done well and great team to work with as they kept me updated on scheduling around our recent weather

I used them to redo my driveway in North Vancouver. Their communication was excellent, the onsite foreman was very polite and good to work with. They arrived on time as expected and finished earlier than expected. I really like the job that they did and was happy with the result. I also appreciate the very thorough clean up that they did on the road and on our patio near their working area. I would highly recommend them! read more

This is a great company, from the accurate estimate given by Rafael, to the coordination by the team leader, Kevin. The Burnaby Blacktop team onsite not only did a good job pouring the cement and setting the steps, but their finishing and sanding really gave the work a professional look. I contacted 6 different concrete companies to take on this job, only 5 showed up to do an estimate and as unbelievable as it may seem, only Burnaby Blacktop did a complete costing estimate. read more

This review is based on the customer service as I haven't gotten services done as of yet. I was calling on behalf of a client who was interested in upgrading their home and having some paving done. Rather than have the client call directly (they're a bit of a diva cookie) I felt that being the middle person would be easier communication wise for them to deal with directly. Out of all the companies that I've called this was the only one that was patient and spent 20 minutes explaining the process and cost of different materials by square footage. I tool the information to the client and highly recommended their company to them. I am big on customer service and detailed information, therefore, was extremely impressed by the way the conversation and information was presented to me which was more than I had expected. The only reason I am giving this 3 stars is 'cause this review is based on part 1 of the project, quotes and communication, however, suspect that this will change for the better (will upgrade) once the project is underway. read more

We Recently had Burnaby Blacktop repave a section of our Drive Way. The level of service and professionalism was beyond belief. They arrived to quote the project about a day after I contacted them. A written quote was sent within hours of the site survey. A few days later a crew arrived and performed the work as agreed. Top notch and blazingly fast service. This is the first review I have ever written, but have been inspired to give Burnaby Blacktop, the praise they deserve. Well done. read more

We just had our driveway done. It was 40 years old and did have some areas that definitely needed replacing as well as some 'hills' starting to show. We expected to have to replace the whole driveway and did budget for it. After much researching and checking information and reviews and working with a neighbor, this company was our choice of contractor. It was recommended that instead of a full replacement, they could just replace the nasty areas and then do a resurface. The results are excellent and we could not be more pleased with it. Makes the curb appeal so much better. Clean up was second to none. The crew were polite, respectful and courteous as well as knowledgeable in what they were doing. We do recommend this company. The icing on the cake? Their pricing is very reasonable. We will invite them back next year to prep it for next winter! read more

The boys did a great job and finished the same day. Real happy about that. And they came when they said they were. Price was competitive and quite reasonable. Highly recommended. read more

An update to my earlier review (see below) - after several weeks, the owner responded with an apology for the poor communication and offered to redo the work. This time they did an excellent job and to my complete satisfaction. Original Review: A small blacktop pathway job (8'x12'). Owner said that they have a minimum $1300 call-out fee but accepted $800 which was the same as two other quotes that I received. A tricky job that was handled well (I thought) - it required blending into an existing driveway and included working around a couple of utility covers. That job was done reasonably well. One of the workers convinced me to seal the driveway and new blacktop for a discounted price of $300. It was only $100 more than it would have cost me so I agreed. Unfortunately there were a couple of scabs that lifted off the next day and they had sealed the City water shut-off cap. I contacted the owner the next day and he said he would send somebody to fix it. I reminded him a week later and he said he would send somebody to fix it. That was more than one month ago and nobody has contacted me yet. I've since cleaned up the water shut-off cap so it can be removed and it looks like I'll need to fix the sealing job myself. read more

I am a Property Manager and we selected Burnaby Blacktop to repair sections of damaged pathways and parking lots. The first thing I notice about this company is how polite they are when you call it's not that often you hear good morning or thank you anymore I was also surprised at how fast they called me back I left a message in the morning and they called back that afternoon he was really informative to I thought I would have to dig everything out I had gotten an estimate from another company and they told me the only way to fix it was to dig it out for thousands of dollars when Burnaby Blacktop showed up they walked me through all of the different options turns out I didn't have to dig it all out only a portion these guys saved me big time would for sure recomend read more

Had a great experience dealing with these guys. They did an amazing job paving my driveway.

We needed to have our driveway fixed, so I called five different companies and asked for an estimate. Two of them did not even call back, three of them showed up to check the area and provide an estimate. Greg at Burnaby Blacktop was the only one that actually showed up on time. He was professional, friendly and even though they were not the cheapest our gut told us they were the right choice. The job was finished less than two weeks later and their crew did an amazing job! My kids are now enjoying playing sports on our new driveway and we will surely recommend them to family and friends. read more
