Jamie is the young man that owns this establishment, he is very helpful and patient with everyone. He pushes everyone to there peak performance levels. I've seen him transform bodies of people that never knew they had it in them to be better. I love coming to the Peak and I'm so proud of myself because I'm gaining strength and endurance. I'm a lot more agile on my feet. I love the group training classes that are held every week, makes me feel like I'm not so all alone in this fitness journey. There's a live DJ that comes on some Saturdays to help livin things up with his music and encouragment. Sometimes there are special chefs featuring they're food for sampling right after the workout, for meal planning and clean eating while at home or work. Jamie is not only a fitness trainer, he's also a motivational speaker that speaks all over the city and different schools spreading his knowledge of fitness with everyone. He's known as Jamie the Motivator! I love that he will customize a fitness plan just for you depending on your fitness goals.

PSA! Ive had two experiences with this gym owner and staff. My first encounter was on Monday, Feb…read more10th, for his 5 am boot camp. We all got there by 5 but it didn't actually start til 515-20 am. There's no circuit training involved. He has limited equipment so you stand around waiting for your turn while your heart rate plummets from the lack of cardio. When it's your turn, I observed members holding weights too heavy for them to use which lead many of them to perform exercises in bad form. This increases risk of injury and also targets the wrong muscle groups than intended. How do I know? I am a therapist with 12 yrs of experience. I only hire trainers as a motivator NOT to teach me correct techniques. So I watched his boot camp as his assistant was wearing me out by making me do 3 exercises the entire session as a new member of the gym. Ridiculous and didn't do anything to gauge my strengths and weaknesses. Because I had paid him upfront for 2 months I realized I was stuck going to this gym til my membership ended. I will say the meal plan provided will cut your weight as he lazily hands you a printout from the internet advising you to drink a protein shake instead of eating a meal. Duh! of course skipping meals works. smh. Anyway, I knew I couldn't take another group class so I decided to ask for personal training one on one. Maybe he wouldn't be so lazy with someone who knows their stuff? We agreed upon 8 am the next morning. So 2/13/20 at 805 am I showed up to his gym and the lights are shut off and the doors locked. It's pouring rain but I knocked on the windows and tried to forcibly open the door thinking he may be in the back even with no car present outside. I get back into my car and contact him around 810am stating I was outside. Then I followed it up with a message to his close friend who is also a member of the gym. He doesn't respond for 20 mins then states he's inside. I get out and try the doors again and they're open. I asked with annoyance in my voice, what's going on? we agreed upon 8am. Instead of immediately apologizing because it's clear he forget, he starts to get loud and yell about not having to kiss anyone's ass. He stands up and starts walking towards me and yelling that he never agreed to meet me. Mind you, I live 45 mins away and would never agree to drive somewhere unless we agreed beforehand. He continues to yell and I calmly try to redirect him as I see this is escalating to the point of no return and I feared for my safely. Dude is waaay too hostile. Before I could ask for my refund, he ended his tirade by telling me "to get the fuck out of his gym". I kindly asked for my refund since he provided no session. He paused, thought about it and stated no. I reminded him that I signed no contract and that he was liable to give me a refund. Again, he shouted for me to leave and started walking towards his front door. As he held the door open for me and I walked by, he let the door bang into my shoulder. I saw this because his hand was still on the door. Bastard. He's lucky I didn't want to see another black man arrested for assault and battery. DO NOT patronize this business if you value professionalism. This was a very hostile environment. He's quick to anger/trigger and unable to simply say he is sorry. This owner is the perfect example of what not to do as a business owner. I repeat, I do not recommend this business when there are so many other gyms willing to foster positive environments without threat of physical harm. And who are certified in more than a personal training certificate that is easily obtainable from the internet.
