Burlington - Behind the counter, I cropped out the employee because it's not her fault it looks that way. And this is even on one of their good days. - Department Stores Near Me - Mansfield, Ohio

It's a Burlington, tons of cool stuff to look at but nothing to love. Plus size is very selective, don't bother looking for a dress for your thicker women. The employees are treated like garbage, it's always hot in there and messy because they never have enough employees working to keep up. read more

Even…read morethough some people may consider it a "department store," I consider it to be a convenience store because of it's merchandise that they have. It has many of the same items that you would find in a grocery store like milk and stuff in the coolers, but laundry soap, bar soap, and toiletries, too, but also other things like picture frames, clothing and an assortment of school supplies like pens, pencils, notebooks, and filler paper, among other things. Whenever I'm back in Shelby, I come to this store several times because they have things that I need or forgot to buy. I use it more like a convenience store a lot whenever I'm in Shelby. I like going to this store just for the convenience of it. The next time I'm in Shelby with my family, I'll probably come to this store several times, too.

I think the potholes in the parking lot prepares you for this mall. It is dying…read more We came at 2 pm on a Sunday. The food court had 2 people, that hallway and the main hallway had 10 people that I could see. The 2 of us, the 2 in the food court, a mom, Dad and little kid, a janitor and 2 more barely visible. Most stores were closed or empty. Pennys was open but I dont like Pennys. If you have your heart set on a particular store, I would call in advance. We were going to Bath and Body Works. I was worried but it was open. Oh there was a small live band playing their heart out near the food court. They were decent but I felt bad for them. The mall was empty. No one was there to enjoy them. The mall itself was clean. But at 2pm on a Sunday, a prime shopping time, at least 40% of stores were closed for the day. I remember back in the day when Kauffmann's and Macy's were there and still took pride in their store, this mall was bustling. Not anymore. It is sad.

There is only one anchor left of the four it had when it opened. Lazarus has become a hospital. About half of the mall is now hospital. It's an interesting concept. There is a JC Penney open; granted in a reduced footprint. There is less than one corridor of mall left. There are two others that are barren storefronts. Worth a check back to see how long this incarnation survives.
