All while rolling her eyes. Now, not that I have to explain by federal law, but I explained the health conditions and she looked at me and said, "Then I don't think you need to be here!" The tables were set beautifully with cute china, teacups and also champagne glasses. Our server brought us Champagne. I thought it was odd at first at a tea but I went with it. I didn't want it but I thought I would try it. Then we had tea and very good cucumber sandwiches and egg salad sandwiches followed by the usual high tea desserts. All very good but my complaint is when I went to pay, I was upcharged $14 (on top of the $35 for the high tea) for the champagne! I said I thought that was included and how would I know it wasn't? The lady said well it's on the menu. What menu?? We never got a menu! I really hate the sneakiness of this. What a bad way to lose a future customer.
