My story of severe back and leg pain began in 2016, and due to my nursing background and also out of desperation, I sought pain relief the conventonal way with motrin, physical therapy, injections in my back, and eventual surgery (two lumbar laminectomies in 2018). At that time my neurosurgeon told me that I would eventually need a lumbar fusion because of the degenerative disc disease that was evident in my spine. By 2020, my back and leg pain had returned, and (determined to NOT have more surgery), I finally listened to the advice of a chiropractor friend who referred me to Dr. Burkhart's office for spinal decompression treatments. After completing thirty decompression treatments, occasional ACT treatments, and also continued spinal adjustments, I am very thankful to say that my pain is gone, and I have remained pain-free over the past years. I can't say enough about Burkhart Chiro. I am 72 and have had back problems and pain for 40 years. I have been to multiple Physical Therapy sessions, Physiatrists and surgeons.
