Burkhardt house is one of the nicest accommodation blocks in the Hulme Hall complex. The newest accommodation available area, Burkhardt is fully en-suite and self catered, and is one of the most popular accommodation blocks available through the university.
The halls have some of the largest en-suite rooms available to students, and are very well equipped with furniture and ample storage. Each flat of 8 rooms has a separate living room area, and fully fitted kitchen. Unfortunately, due to the terms of the accommodation contract, students sometimes have to move out of the rooms during university holidays in order to make room for visiting conferences, but this is a similar feature in other halls available on campus.
Out of all of the Hulme Hall accommodation, Burkhardt is by far the best appointed, and independent, as it is hosts the only self catered accommodation at Hulme, which definitely makes a difference for a lot of people in choosing their hall.
The best thing about the Burkhardt accommodation is the size of the rooms, which are way above average for en-suite accommodation. A friend of mine who lives in Burkhardt has thoroughly enjoyed her time there, and if I had to make my accommodation choices again, I would happily apply to live in Burkhardt after hearing about, and witnessing her experiences. read more
