A lawyer is mean to advise and there was 0% of that involved. As a young woman who had no idea about divorce and what I could be entitled to, I looked to her for guidance and I received nothing. The child support papers she put together are so incorrect it makes no sense. I even used her again when my ex husband illegally claimed both children on his tax return and should have been held in contempt of court and she did nothing but sit on her phone the entire time. She said NOTHING, did NOTHING. I realize now this was just easy money for her. (This was Covid times, during video call) I trusted her and I ended up screwed. Please do not waste your money on this firm or Ms. Eberle. I am currently dealing with the consequences of her lack of integrity and involvement that I PAID for. I wish I had gone with someone else. It named my sister who had been deceased since 2007 as the guardian of said children. On to the decision to update our Wills. We needed to locate an attorney that was well versed in Kentucky law and individuals that have acquired properties, and are approaching retirement. A co-worker of my husband's recommended Mr. Dotson with KY Elder Law. We called and found it easy to get an appointment for a consultation where we planned to discuss Will's, Trusts, and Power of Attorney documents. Prior to our appointment we received a document to fill out and bring with us. Each step of the way it noted documents that we should bring with us such as prior Will's, Bank Statements, retirement account info, mortgage paperwork, etc. We completed the questionnaire that required us to do a little research but was valuable for a complete consultation. Our meeting with Mr. Dotson went extremely well. At the conclusion he advised us there was no charge for the consultation which lasted over an hour. We signed a contract to pay $950 to cover the cost of two Power of Attorney documents, two Will's, two Health Care Surrogate forms, and two Living Will's. The only additional fee would be a $70 recording fee that would be paid to our county for recording the Power of Attorney documents. Mr. Dotson worked with dates on our calendars to schedule a return visit to sign all the documents. The week prior to the scheduled appointment we received all the documents in draft form via the Internet to review. This made the signing day fly by without a hitch. Woohoo, let me say your business is as good as it gets!

Our experience with this attorney was totally NEGATIVE! My husband paid him $3,000.00 for an…read morealimony modification case. We realize that attorney's are very specialized and his website stated we would get "focused representation" and boy that sounded good! We didn't hesitate because we hadn't found any negative reviews on him (so that's why I'm putting my experience out there in case anyone else is looking). My husband went to court May 22, 2014 and he and his ex wife AGREED upon a settlement. It was a done deal. ALL THAT HAD TO BE DONE was the paperwork to be drawn up and submitted to the courts with a wage assignment to be submitted to my husband's payroll office. My husband is a soldier in the United States Military so his payroll office isn't local to us and they REQUIRE a copy from the courts. So It is now 7/16/14 and the order STILL HAS NOT BEEN SENT TO HIS PAYROLL OFFICE. Why you might ask? Well because when the original order was drafted it didn't have his payroll office on the distribution list. WELL WHY NOT? That seems like a kindergarten kind of lawyer thing to me. So ok, didn't happen we need to get it done now. SO, Mr. Bolus emails a fuzzy copy of the order and tells me husband to try submitting it to his payroll office himself. WHAT THE &^%$! Payroll office do not take these kinds of things from the person having their wages garnished, that's just plains good ole COMMON SENSE. It has to come straight from the courts or an attorney. Of course, DFAS said nope we can't accept anything from you it has to be from the courts. SO yesterday 7/15/14 my husband contacted Mr. Bolus and Mr. Bolus said ok "I called the courts they are sending the order out today". OK so whew, it's finally done. BUT I'm not an idiot, I'm not going to just "believe" that it's been done when we have had such a HARD TIME getting what should have been a simple thing done in the first place. I called the courts myself today and low and behold they said they had not been called this week and the order had not been sent. They also told me that if the attorney had put the DFAS payroll office on the original distribution list they would have sent it already. OH MY FREAKING FREAK FREAK FREAK!!! So after $3,000.00 I have to pay myself to get a certified copy of this order so we can get it submitted on our own. So basically, maybe he has good cases and maybe bad cases, but we had a BAD EXPERIENCE.
