Mac & cheese burger

Food was amazing! Yummy!! Fast and friendly service. Loved the Mac & Cheese burger. Friend had the Hawaiian burger and said it was very good. Clean and upbeat establishment. I will be back to try more.

Gotta love the classic burger. This small business has a busy menu with a variety of burgers you can order. However, more attention-- in my opinion -- is needed in making the beef patty more flavorful. My burger was just your basic classic taste nothing that sent my taste buds into orbit. However, the onion rings were firm, tasty, held their shape and were the prize of my meal. The kind service with good recommendations of what was popular to order was customer friendly. Plenty of room to chill with a variety of other options beyond the burgers to choose from making this a fun exciting place to indulge in other food forward choices.

Bacon Double Cheeseburger with Fries!!

Burger Shop Clive! Again! They are just consistently turning out amazing burgers! I got the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. I got the large onion rings. $12. My wife got a Bacon Cheeseburger as well, so $20 for dinner. The onion rings were a nice portion and more than enough to split. The onion rings have a very nice breading with a nice onion ring inside. The onion doesn't disappear when fried. They were hot and fresh. Wonderful. I got all the toppings on the burger. They were fresh and crisp. I got the bacon extra crispy. It was perfect and added a nice smoky flavor to the burger. The burger was juicy and fresh. Delicious. A perfect Friday Night! The staff are friendly and ordering was easy. The place was busy at 7 PM on a Friday Night, but the food didn't take long. I got it to go because I brought my doggo Maci!

Sweet potato fries, brisket burger (no bun), Bacon Cheeseburger Meal, Tater Tots

Fun place for quick serve deliciousness! Well worth the wait for the result of friendly service and great burger varieties. Stark but clean and well organized space. I liked the sweet potato fries I got and loved the special brisket burger. My friend wants to try different things but can't pull himself away from the bacon double cheeseburger. He also swears they have the best tots ever. And he is a connoisseur of tots. He's been here dozens of times but it was my first visit. I will be back! Looking forward to trying the PB and bacon burger.

We have been talking about trying this place for a long time. When we got there the place was pretty empty, it did fill up by the time we left. We stood just down fro. The counter trying to decide what to order. I would I assume it was the manager, the person was dressed different that all the employees. While we were deciding the person stood anlt the register drumming (loudy) there hands on the counter. I ordered a single and onion rings and my dinning companion ordered a double and fries. There was ketchup and mustard at the tables but not napkins, which is kinda odd for a burger joint. Both of us agreed the meals were average at best. The onion rings tasted straight out of a freezer bag. Place was clean. Have had better burgers. Will not rush to go back

I'm so glad we stumbled upon Hot Off The Presses while passing through on our way to…read moreMinneapolis--this place is an absolute gem. We were just here a few weeks ago and I am so bummed to see they permanently closed!! We came during lunch and took advantage of their weekday lunch combo (Tues-Fri, 11am-2pm), which includes soup and a half grilled cheese. You can choose from the OG, Kick in the Cheese, or Fancy grilled cheese, plus either tomato basil bisque or the soup of the day. Honestly? A dream setup. I ordered the tomato basil bisque with a half OG grilled cheese, and wow... just wow. The soup was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the grilled cheese delivered that classic, beautiful cheese pull moment you hope for (and rarely actually get). The cheese had the perfect amount of sharpness and subtle bitterness, balancing everything out so well without being overwhelming.. I seriously could go for one right now! Every bite was comforting and delicious, and I immediately wished I had ordered a full OG sandwich because it was that good. The combo was mouth‑watering, satisfying, and wildly exceeded expectations for a quick lunch stop.

I have visited twice, and have been impressed by their efficiency, timing, and pricing. Plenty of free parking on site. Lots of seating inside. I have enjoyed their Chicken Caesar wrap and their Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap, both with terrific taste, made to order, and plentiful. I explored more of the menu and have a lot of other things to try. I also enjoyed their homemade soup and their cookies.

The sandwiches were absolutely incredible--honestly some of the best I've ever had, no question…read more But the wait was beyond frustrating. We were driving through from Colorado back to Minnesota and did everything right: ordered online a full 30 minutes ahead so we could just swing in and pick up. We arrive, my sister (who also ordered ahead online) is already walking out with her food. My brother orders in-person right when we get there, and his sandwich--plus two other walk-in customers' orders--come out before ours even starts being made. We ended up waiting over another 30 minutes. More than an hour total from when we placed the order. What is the point of online ordering if the system doesn't hold your spot in line and just lets in-store orders and later arrivals jump ahead of you? It completely defeats the whole purpose. Still... those sandwiches really were exceptional. Almost worth the headache.

Ambience and customer service were just... there. Nothing offensive, nothing memorable. It's giving "get your order and go," which honestly works if the food's this good. If you're in it for the sandwich game, don't let the dry vibe throw you off -- the flavor makes up for the rest.

Will be back for sure Best sandwich in a long time…read moreNo skimping on meat At a lot of sandwich places, I tend to order double meat. Just too much bread in proportion to meat at most places. No need to double up here. The Betty's was thick and juicy. Perfect proportion of bread to meat. Was somewhat reminiscent of a Cuban with mustard and pickles. Very light, almost falling apart bagel. They've got wide selections of sandwiches and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. The Manhattan is my go-to (Corned Beef, Ham, Salami, Coleslaw & Swiss with Mustard, Mayo & Pickle on an Onion Bun) but I always sub the onion bun out for a hero bun. Every flavor works well with each other, the coleslaw is sweet and contrasts well with the saltiness of the meats, the crunch from the pickle, and finally the mustard cuts into all of them for a beautiful clash of senses in your mouth. Other sandwich pictured is their Tuesday, it's a daily special sandwich you can get on any day. The special pricing won't apply if you get it on another day obviously. The Tuesday was hearty and the cheese on top of it was seasoned well. The peanut butter brownie, very decadent! I don't even like brownies but I always try to snag this one whenever I'm here! Service here is always prompt and helpful. The ambiance does a great job at pulling on the community aspect you feel at your local corner store in NYC.

Whoever is at the front desk should proactively greet each person and ask "dining in or to go?" Instead the lady waited for me and the next person to takk with her first. Then she asked if we knew what we wanted. If they fix this, your answer should be "to go". While the ambiance is lovely, the fact they make you buy bottles of drinks instead of having cups of water or other drinks available really decreases the value of sitting in and cheapens the experience. The restaurant ambiance is also marred by all the items for sale like a local market. Perhaps it makes it feel more genuine, but definitely makes it feel less fine dining. That and the music gets interrupted by what is likely alarms or timers on the phone playing music. Perhaps it shouldn't be thought of as fine dining, and more of a foreign family diner. The service was nearly non-existent. As mentioned before you had to proactively ask how things worked, there were no refills as it's just bottles ... and the bottles just sit in a fridge. Outside of that she sat at the front desk on her phone, though she did ask how everything was... once... after we got it. She also thanked us for coming when we left. It took about 10 minutes to get food... not bad since the food seemed fresh. That said the food was good enough. I've had better chicken shawarmas, but nothing tasted bad. It's slightly above average experience hence the rating. I wouldn't go so far as to say you must try this place, but I wouldn't say don't come here either. I hope they improve the experience over time. This review is meant as constructive criticism.
