Recently some friends and I found ourselves in the area, conveniently at lunch time, so we stopped and grabbed a burger. I got a mushroom swiss burger and had them hold the lettuce and tomato. My burger was real good, and my friends assured me that theirs were as well. One of my friends got their olive burger and it looked amazing. We got one order of regular fries and one of waffle fries. They have some good dipping sauces for the fries and the two orders were more than enough for the four of us. The service was great and we were impressed with how well they quickly cleaned vacated tables. When I walked in, I was struck by how it looks like a store as well as a restaurant -- and, indeed, they do sell candy, jellies and jams, wine, and it looked like they had a fridge in back with beer. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted; everything looked good. I ended up getting the rib sandwich -- basically a pulled pork sandwich. I really enjoyed it. It also came with a side, and I chose the string beans, which were outstanding. They were crispy with plenty of garlic. The whitefish was seasoned with Parmesan crusted spices. The fish was of good size and cooked well. It just lacked seasoning as it needed a little more. Will I go back? Probably.
