Hello Yeplings! BK Ambassador here with STEEEE-RIKE 2 for Burger King! Second Burger King in a row, different state. What is going on with you guys?
I was feeling pretty confident from the gentleman's review below me, that was there 6 months ago, cuz I know exactly what he means. So it was sort of blind faith.
So I drove five states today, about 11 hours or so, haven't eaten all day, but knew I was stopping at the pilot and I knew this BK was here so I built my hunger. I ordered for dine-in via the mobile app WELL before closing time. As I walk the 2/10 of a mile, in the sweltering heat, anticipating my favorite fast food burger of all time being consumed inside a nice air conditioned restaurant, (and actually planning on making a second purchase while there) I make my way to the door as another gentleman is telling me "The doors are locked."
Ok .. Well half the restaurant is full, they don't close for well over an hour, so I'm not too sure what's going on. Let me go stand in the drive-thru for 20 minutes to see if I can get my food and walk back to my truck, with the weather being hotter than what my food was.
I get to the drive-thru, the girl asked me What mobile order was mine. I told her which one. She told me to "Go stand by the front door, and I'll bring it out to you." Ok? There's people in here. Is it a private party or something? Does Burger King throw private parties?
In the process, probably three or four other people tried to enter the restaurant just to find the doors locked. I think one of them went through the drive-thru, but I know two of them left all together.
Why TF are the doors locked, and why can't I (attempt to) enjoy my meal inside?
So some kid hands me my food and I walk back, probably losing 3 lb in the process. Already having an idea of what my food's going to look like because it came in a box, I crack open the lid and sure enough, ANOTHER WHOPPER, MISSING INGREDIENTS I ORDERED EXTRA OF, BUT SURE ENOUGH PAID FOR IT.
I have absolutely zero idea what's going on with Burger King nowadays. This is unacceptable. I can understand if I got there 10 minutes before closing, but I had about an hour and 15 minutes.
On top of the fact, My food flat out sucked.
I know there are good Burger Kings out there, that's the only reason that you haven't lost my patronage. But for the normal person, well normal being eating Burger King all over the country, if you have back-to-back bad experiences at 2 different Burger Kings in two different states, what do you think the chances are of repeat business? But you need to get these franchisees back to BK academy or whatever they had to do when they bought these places and teach them what a real Burger King is.
I had my corporate rep contact me about the Sioux City location last week and I declined any sort of refund or reimbursement, because I'm happy to do it. But this is two times in a row, so this time it looks like I'll be having a gift card in my future.
You guys need to do better.
