(Presumably one of the reservations was for later in the evening.) I was on a mission to find magret de canard, and only Bruno offered it on the limited, perfectly seasonal menu, which is clearly designed around the best available ingredients each day. The canard dish here came au xérés (sherry). Little did I know that it was to be accompanied with some perfectly cooked carrots, a bit of potato, and delicately sliced and layered squash and tomato concealing a perfectly soft, melt-in-your-mouth bed of aubergine. I believe that garlic was involved too. In any case, I'm not sure if it was intended to be an interpretation of ratatouille or a unique creation, but I don't care as it caused me to squeal with gastronomic pleasure. I haven't even mentioned the canard yet, which was the perfect temperature (pink enough with plenty of flavor but neither saignant nor overdone), and served in small, delectable pieces. The presentation was beautiful and I was happy and satisfied after this dish, which I accompanied with a glass of house red (at the server's suggestion) and preceded with the soup of pesto and mackerel. I'm so glad they squoze me into the evening's operation. The meal was worth every cent (and was reasonable, all things considered). Should I ever have cause to dine in this adorable little hamlet in future, I'll be sure to reserve a table in advance as I'd return in a heartbeat!

What an amazing find near Old Port in Marseille! I was visiting here for just one night on day 8 of a France trip and was craving a burger. I did a quick Google search and saw this restaurant was close to my hotel so away we went! The menu here is simple. About 10-12 different burgers that all come with fries and a salad. Burger options include 2 vegetarian options and a chicken option. I loved that regional flavors were incorporated. For example, my burger had Camembert cheese. My friends burger had local fig jam on it. Gluten-Free buns are available!! It's not called out on the menu so you need to ask. Our food was amazing. This is a meal I will remember! Service was top notch, super friendly and fast. Vibe was cute and quaint. Exactly what we wanted! American good, but didn't feel touristy. Can't recommend this place enough!

As I was in a bit of a rush due to a compressed tour I was on, I opted to go with a charcuterie and cheese plate and a glass of the local rosé. The charcuterie plate was actually fairly large and quite good where in particular I really enjoyed the cheeses. The rosé was OK but then again I wasn't familiar with the wines within the area and did not ask for a recommendation. Having said that it was the perfect compliment to my charcuterie plate. Staff was quite friendly where I was seated promptly and asked their assistance in facilitating my meal and Bill which allowed me to leave on time with my group. The restaurant itself is located right on the water with a nice breeze coming off of the ocean. Sitting under the tent in the outdoor dining area with that breeze made for an excellent dining experience during June weather. Overall, I was quite pleased with the dining experience as a whole. I could definitely see myself returning here in the future if my travels ever take me in this direction again.

However, the person at the "snack" counter said we could still have whatever we wanted from the restaurant in take-out, and sit at the chairs in front, we just couldn't sit in the back where the "restaurant" was. The salad had mint, melon, and tasty greens--very refreshing! We ordered the momos for our entree which were mixed flavors and all very good. About 7 momos, sauce, and rice. Dessert was a fried bread/donut sort of thing with cream and also very tasty. My boyfriend thought the portions were small but I was stuffed after lunch.
