Loved the little details like the flowers wrapped around the top of every hanger. And the tea bags- not sure what that's about. I mean, I get it's the name of the store, but is this also some sachet trick? Bring your Portuguese translator or just the cash to transact here.

There's a variety of options and cuisines available, plus beers, wine and cocktails for purchase. I would leave small children at home with a babysitter, as trying to maneuver through the crowds with a stroller is just too much to deal with. We liked the tacos, burgers and pad Thai. Desserts are also available.

Even if you find the table space it can be hard to find chairs, everyone has theirs claimed. We were there during a couple world cup games which added to the crowd. Got some ok pizzas (cheese a bit thick), excellent amazing octopus, great croquettes, tasty crispy rice, beef cheek, cocktails. Octopus was definitely a must-have!

The two people working there were not very friendly. I get you have plenty of tourists "bothering" you to look at what you have in this shop, but that's part of having a shop: People. In your space. Just looking. Until they are just buying. They officially take AmEx, but prefer you not use it. The lady was sorta rude with another customer, and the guy that helped me got all offended because I called this wacky cocktail ring "costume" jewelry, since it is sterling. Yeah, but it still isn't fine jewelry with gem stones, easy killer. You certainly may find a unique Portuguese piece here, but be prepared to deal with attitude.

As someone who's looking for handmade cufflinks, i found Carmo to be one of the few that actually did sell them, did have a decent selection, and while the prices were 'non negotiable', they do fill out tax returns for tourists, which no other joalharia offered. But more so, they had things i liked compared to the rest.

Light snacks, cocktails, coffee and fun to be had at this great location in Lisbon, only a stones throw from the centre and within walking distance to other nearby vintage stores. Slightly more pricy than other vintage stores here in Lisbon, however, good quality vintage doesn't come cheap! Address: R. Assunção 22, 1100-044
So this is supposed to be a famous Lisbon vintage/thrift store; however, I am sad to say that I was…read moreunderwhelmed. I realize that every city has its own thrift/vintage culture and it's hard to find a market where you find that perfect combination of affordable + chic + a bargain. The difference between affordable and a bargain meaning that you're selling clothes at an affordable price (let's say a woman's sweater for 10 euros) and also at a comparative bargain considering the original value (so, not an H&M sweater for 10 euros). The selection here was more "vintage" (old) than thrift (inexpensive), and generally overpriced by my standards. The jewelry was housed across the street, and that selection was small. Encountered a much better vintage option further north in the city.
