It is an old family business which I suppose is on the second or third generation of owners. My only complaint is that it has become increasingly difficult to find to find their shoes in stores. I used to be able to find their shoes in Ballantynes in Christchurch, but they haven't sold McKinlay's in quite some time. As expected, all the vendors were very friendly and talkative. I did pick up a nice souvenir that won't take up much space.
