I never even took my gun out of the case and when I went back in to ask for a refund, the lady behind the desk shook her head with an attitude like I had the audacity to ask for my money back. I grew up around guns and had a basic knowledge of gun safety, usage, and handling. When I moved…read morefrom Maryland six years ago I thought about getting a concealed carry permit for two reasons: 1- Just because (Maryland is almost impossible) and 2- To get formal instruction on proper handling of a gun. My wife mentioned she had a friend who was a certified firearms instructor so we both signed up. I cannot describe how right Joanne was for both my wife and me. She handled my wife, who had never fired a gun, with great sensitivity while helping her with her beginner questions and fears. Her clear and concise instructions, particularly on ALL and ANY safety matters, are wonderful as well as her handling elementary questions without making one (me) feel like a dunce. Her four basic safety rules should be required memorization and the practice of all who handle a gun. I cannot recommend Joanne more highly for anyone and everyone who either wants simply formal instructions or is seeking a Concealed Carry Permit, Her professionalism and demeanor are totally first-class.
