I had been getting severe lower back pain about every six months. It would last a couple of weeks and totally incapacitate me. I had never gone to a chiropractor and to be honest, I was skeptical. After my last attack in March, my sister insisted I give it a try. I figured I had nothing to lose. I am so glad I went! The process is as everyone says: consultation, X-rays, adjustment with the pro-adjuster, massages. I did pay the $2500 up front with 20% off. I work in health insurance so I knew that chiropractic services aren't very well covered by most plans. I wasn't surprised when it didn't cover much for me. I'm lucky enough that I am able to afford that but if I couldn't, I have heard the dr be very accommodating when other patients need help fitting treatment into their budget. I have had one attack since the one before I started treattment. It was in August and I was between visits when I was at my worst. I called the front office and they got me in for an adjustment that day. No extra charge. That day, the pro adjuster was not able to make the change it needed to get me in line so Dr. Radtke had me lay down on the table for a more traditional adjustment. The machine does identify when additional intervention is needed and you get taken care of. My pain eased much quicker than usual and never reached the level of severity as past attacks. Betty, my masseuse, is wonderful. She always checks in with where I need the most attention and even teaches me ways to help soothe my own headaches. Frankie at the front desk is warm and friendly. She makes me feel like family and it is always a joy to go in for my appointments. read more

This place is a ripoff!! I had previous chiropractic work and it had totally cured my headaches. Then I moved to Clovis, and moving and lifting everything really messed me up. I came here and the doctor said their "Pro-Adjuster" machine would gently tap my spine back into place. In a very high pressure sales type situation (like a used car salesman), he recommended a 5-6 month treatment routine. Cost? Almost $2500!!! But my head hurt so bad, and I was so desperate for relief, that I bought their pitch that this "cutting edge technology" (the Pro-Adjuster) would help me. They even offered 20% off if I paid upfront! I didn't have that type of money, but they agreed to let me pay half up front, and half in 30 days, and still give me that 20% off. Two weeks into my treatment, I couldn't even go 24 hours after visiting their office without mind boggling headaches. So they start doing more things (like an ultrasound to relax the muscles), and charging me MORE... still with no real relief. I finally had the wisdom to see another chiropractor in Old Town Clovis, who, with my first visit, relieved my headaches. I then went and saw a massage therapist. Total cost? Less than $100 for both! Now I'm seeing my new chiropractor once every 2 weeks, paying around $25 per visit, with no headaches. I can't tell you how upset I am. Even when I requested a refund for the remainder of what I hadn't used, the doctor sat me down and told me I needed to go for "at least another month" before I'd get results. Yes, this doctor - with a straight face - told me I'd need another month and pay over $1000 more in visits to get relief!!! The new chiropractor charged me less than $40 on my first visit and less than $25 for each follow up visit. In just a few weeks, this place milked over $700 out of me.. and I got no relief! Oh, and by the way, that 20% discount doesn't apply when you get a refund. If you're wise, you'll avoid this place at all costs. Find a chiropractor who will feel your spine, and adjust each level that is out of whack the old fashioned way - with his (or her) own hands! You'll be thankful you did. read more

I have had severe back pain for years and years now and I have seen several people for help. I've had physical therapists, pain management doctors, and several failed chiropractors. Even through all of that, I came here hopeful that they would be able to help me and figure things out. The staff is very friendly and so are the chiropractors, I will give them that. After a consultation and a brief history about myself, Radke assured me that he would be able to help me and do whatever it takes to relieve my lower back pain. He introduced me to the "Pro Adjuster" which I had never seen before, so again, I was hopeful, but after the first two treatments, there was no change. The "Pro Adjuster" is supposedly suppose to realign your spine by tapping it in place. I don't know the exact mechanics behind it, but it just felt like mild vibrations along my spine that did not do anything for me. But I thought 'hey, why not give them the benefit of the doubt?' Upon my next visit, I expressed my concerns about how I was not feeling even the slightest change in my pain and that I would not be able to afford his visits if there were no results. He confessed that he did not know the exact problem and that it would take him some time to figure out the problem. This is completely fine with me! I have had so many failed attempts in the past, so I appreciate the fact that he told me that he didn't know the problem. I would have been fine if he took the time to figure it out, rather than continuing useless 'treatments' that didn't work and still billing me in the mean time. Radke ASSURED me that I should not have to worry about monetary issues until he, again, could figure out the problem. This was very confusing to me because I didn't understand what he meant by "don't have to worry about the money" because after every session, I still had to pay $57, which is outrageous seeing as to how I had no results and each session was no more than 5 minutes with no results. LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR: I have been in pain my most of my life and I am willing to pay as much money as it is necessary IF there are results. I am a student, which means that I do not have much monetary funds, however, if I had received any kind of relief, I would definitely find a way to pay, no matter how much it costs. Money is not an issue if it means that my back pain is even lessened. THE BOTTOM LINE: I did not receive any relief for my back pain. After such an experience, I have to conclude that this place felt like a scam, as well as being manipulative and untrustworthy. I'm writing this review with a very heavy heart because the staff is very friendly including the Radke's, who seemed to show concern, but I am very upset with the results (or lack there of) and apparently miscommunication when it came to payment. read more

I have been coming here to see Dr.Rick for several years now. I know that he is very quick with his adjustments but he always fixes things right up! I love that every time I have a new issue or pain he addresses it specifically! I don't know about these other reviews on here. I've been going to chiropractors since I came home from the hospital and have always believed in chiropractic. Not sure what everyone else was expecting but this place is the real deal! I would highly recommend coming here but don't just go one time, that's not logical. Massive pain and severe misalignment won't be fixed after 1 treatment. Took X-rays of me and my mom and refused to do them on my little brother (makes sense since he was 10) and that was okay with us until HOWEVER they tried to charge us with his x-rays that he had never took! This place is a joke. They were definitely friendly and welcoming. First time I used a groupon for an X-ray, a consultation, a massage, and an adjustment. The "adjustment" was BS. The X-ray was useful, the massage was okay. But I tried to go back, because I have a reverse cervical curve in my neck that has been bothering me over years. Recently it has been worse. My trip back was going to be based on insurance, and instead of telling me they didn't take my insurance when I called....(and while they had a sign saying they took payments before services- no exceptions).... they took copies of my insurance and AFTER the appointment told me they didn't take it. $57 wasted dollars. The adjustment was MAYBE 5 min long and consisted of the little tool that barely pressed on my back, as well as the vibration over my back for 2 minutes. Oh and him telling me how my back was definitely messed up and off. But nothing fixed, no advice, nothing. Definitely disappointed and definitely wish I'd seen the reviews on here before going. I'm going back to Yoga and more stretching which seems to be more useful and less expensive. read more

I been waiting for a couple visit and kind of a little skeptical about coming here but I was in pain with my back. The first visit was a consultation and a x-ray it was such a great experience the chiropractor which is the son he was so super nice and friendly we laugh the whole visit made it feel comfortable and welcoming .The the front staff was super sweet and welcoming as well two kind women . The next visit I had was to go over my x-rays and a plan of care.He also did an adjustment that day which honestly I was a little afraid to do , however I have to say it was great . The next day I was already feeling better and getting more movement and getting out of bed was easier. My next visit was a massage and one more adjustment I have to say again I was blown away the massage therapist was such a sweet lady , the massage was amazing I felt great as well , So relaxing I was able to tell her if she would need to easy up or if the pressure was right she also did ask me in between.I'm looking forward to my further visits to getting spin back to how it use to be and I will sure recommend them to my friend and family.The reviews are a little harsh but I have to say I was definitely happy that I gave them a try.They will get 5 stars great job ! -Mercedes G read more

I really had wonderful care at Bullard Chiropractic. Once I fell and they helped me tremendously and the second time I went there I was rear-ended in a car accident. Both incidents were treated with the pro-adjuster, which was great. I was in so much pain I can't imagine getting traditional chiropractic treatment until the swelling went down. However, they were able to treat me and put me on a plan to get me back into shape. It does take a long time to retrain your body. I think it is like going to an orthodontist and expecting them to straighten your teeth in one or two sessions. An orthodontist can't do that and neither can a chiropractor. So, if you are realistic about getting help, I can't think of a better place to go. read more

ESSENTIAL TO A PAIN FREE LIFE. I have been a patient of Bullard Chiropractic for a long time. Last year I fractured three vertibrae. Dr. Radke healed me. Without Dr. Ratke's MODERN diagnostic and therapeutic methods, I would probably be an invalid. I don't suffer from many headaches, but when I do, I trust Bullard Chiropractic one heck-of-a-lot more than the good old fashioned but obsolete methods Andrew seems to find more to his liking. (Question: If the old timely methods were so great, why did he even try a modern Chiropractic clinic with non-Neanderthal doctors? Hmmm?)
