Having white coat syndrome, I was always weary about choosing a primary care physician. The first time I went to Star Medical, I was seen by Dr Singleton. My first impressions were prettty good, he actually paid attention and gave me his undivided attention. The other doctors I went to before would come in, and ask what's wrong, write you some meds, then rush out the door, hardly looking you in the eyes. But Dr Singleton was friendly, wasn't in a rush to move on to the next patient, and his bedside manner was as good as can be. He listens to you without prejudice like I would feel with other docs. I have found my permanent local doctor and after their recent move, I am willing to drive 45 mins to see him. Also, the longest I've had to wait without making an appointment was 20 minutes. An average wait time was 10 mins or less. I've got my blood pressure under control after switching different medications and doses along with my many aliments. Couldn't ask for a better doctor.

Everything they charge is at least 25% less than other places we have tried. When everything adds up, that's a big difference. - During the current pandemic, we have not been comfortable about the idea of going to the doctor's office (don't want to end up catching Covid-19). But Lighthouse, they are not only not seeing anyone with any Covid symptoms, they have taken lots of safety measures around the office also. Just that peace of mind is important. - We have been going to Lighthouse for years. Never needed to wait long in the lobby. As soon as we are done signing it, within minutes, a nurse would call us in. - The only down side is that it takes a long time to talk to the front desk; they would pick up the phone, but would put me on hold for a long time.
