I ended up going to walk-in clinics. My doc at Family Physicians gets me in within a couple of days. I never feel rushed and I ALWAYS know what something is going to cost ahead of time. Usually, it's significantly less. Contrary to someone else's comment, YES, you CAN use your FSA or HSA money for their services. In my opinion, the membership cost is worth every penny!

They are so caring, really take the time with you, and I never had a problem getting in at a reasonable time. But they really screwed over their patients going to the Direct Primary Care model. No matter how you slice it, the numbers don't make sense. You pay a monthly fee to remain a patient and get discounts on Services, some prescriptions, some labs. But they don't accept insurance. So you can't use your HSA and nothing goes towards your deductible. Even just allowing the use of the HSA would make it more reasonable. But, if you need any tests, surgery, or care beyond their capabilities you will need your regular insurance to be seen elsewhere. While the idea sounds good, it just costs more for the patients in the long run. Not to mention now we are left high and dry trying to find a new practitioner and most places are not accepting new patients because of the sudden influx of patients who left FPSJ.

Was seeing Dr. Kolettis forhip and knee pain. He determined I needed a hip replacement. After…read morelooking on the net for information on hip replacements, I discovered a different surgical technique, the anterior approach. I asked Dr. Kolettis about this approach and he informed me it was a 'bad' technique and did not recommend it. I asked him if he could give me more information directing me to this information and he could not provide me with a website or any inofrmation telling me this different technique was 'bad'. I was disappointed that he could not just tell me I need to decide for myself where to go for my surgery. I ended up in Chicago with Dr. David Smith. He performed the anterior approach hip replacement and the recovery time was less than the traditional approach. The best part is that there was no cutting of any muscles, and NO restrictions after surgery. I could fully bend to tie shoelaces. AMAZING results, but not from Dr. Kolettis.

Dr Henry is also a hand surgeon which is why I see him. I would love to give them a 5 star based on all the staff and amazing people working there but you always spend a least an hour waiting for your appointment, they have been working on the logistics of a shared office but its just part of the game. The beauty in that though is that you never feel rushed, Dr Henry always takes the time to talk with you and catch up on life as he treats you. Get the wait time down to 45 minutes and Ill change this to 5 star in a heart beat.
