She then came to me and asked how she could help me. I told her I need my watch band adjusted so I could wear it. Immediately snotty she said, "WE DON'T DO THAT HERE!" She either didn't know how to adjust watch bands, or she was profiling me thinking I couldn't afford it and I was willing to pay big money for that perfect fit. I will never recommend anyone to go there if they like to be treated like a beggar. Shame on her for profiling and acting like she was better. When i got it back i hated my ring it is a family heirloom and it didn't look like it was supposed too. Too late to change so i went with it. Took my rings up there recently and was quoted a price that i could buy a whole other ring for which was ridiculous took my ring elsewhere and paid a price that was more than half their quote, and also discovered that my ring was basically butchered by carters, so this other jeweler has to work extra hard to repair what was destroyed and get looking like its supposed to. Carters knew it was an heirloom and destroyed it anyway. I will never go to carters again. I never knew how destroyed my ring was until it was pointed out to me.

( they had sent it out to be repaired) The watch appeared to work when i left and within an hour it was not working again. I went back only to be met with much resistance from the owner and staff over the issue. I was charged 153 dollars for the repair. Some time went by and i met a man who does watch repairs and i had him take a look at it. He said it was his opinion that the watch had never been taken apart nor been worked on and he believes they simply had changed the battery and sent it out the door to me to make a dollar. I also got a second opinion on the watch by a jeweler repair shop and they told me in their opinion it was likely it was never taken apart to be fixed and was not fixable. I believe still to this day i was ripped off by these people. Im reminded of it recently cause of my curiosity to have it repaired again and its now sitting next to me and i wanted to get this off my chest on here. Id give them minus stars if i could.
