I HAVE THESE ALL OVER MY BODY AFTER STAYING AT THE BUDGET INN.

this place has bed bugs, do not stay here. no matter if every hotel in silicon valley is sold out,,, keep going south. horrible experience. i had to have my luggage steam cleaned. not clean, not even close. stay away.

We discovered this on our bathroom door. They gave us half our money back at least. I'm fairly certain our room was a crime scene.

Only stayed here due to desperation on a 2800 mile road trip. (Everything within a 3 hour radius was booked on a VERY busy Saturday for that area). See photos of blood and head hair I uploaded. So disturbing.

It is beautifully decorated, clean and super quiet. I always check in the afternoon, and the afternoon manager is wonderful. She is efficient and professional, but also warm and friendly. After I had checked out, I realized that I needed gas. I didn't know the area, didn't have enough gas to make a wrong turn, and I was on a tight schedule. The afternoon manager saved me. She told me about the two options for gas in the area, and explained how to find them in detail so I wouldn't end up wandering around, lost. She was patient, cheerful and understanding. The Morgan Hill Hampton Inn itself is a lovely, well maintained property, but the afternoon manager's kindness and interest in my well being took it to the next level!

And most people come for its convenience since it's closer to the freeway. Free breakfast from 6am to 10am. It's self service. Plenty of coffee, bagels, muffins, etc. The scramble eggs, sausages, potatoes are all places in a buffet style service metal container with a cover to stay hot. I was content. But it gets crowded. Unfortunately, some people don't clean their own mess. The rooms are nice. Well lit if necessary, with a lot of light switches. But I wish there were more electrical outlets or USB plug ports. Oh well. The bed was still good. I wasn't concave in the center, nor was I spilling out from the sides. Probably because they're still rather new. It actually felt better than other hotel beds. It didn't affect my back. Lol. The bathroom, hmmm, I think needed a better cleaning. The shower and tub wasn't the cleanest. We actually had to request a different room prior, because there was still hair around the drains. I was quite grossed out. The front desk people are very nice. Very professional and ready to help if needed. Overall, a decent experience without high expectations. Yes, I would come back. A strong 3 stars hotel. Nothing less.

She helped us upgrade to a Junior Suite, which made a huge difference for our family. She was kind, professional, and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. I was very dumbfounded on Yelp how their rating was so high and left me regretting booking here after my experience. When I drove in to their property, I noticed there were barely any guests' vehicles in their parking lot. Even the nice front desk woman that checked me in said it was really slow that night. Here is my breakdown for my 1-night stay. The good 4/5 -Friendly front desk woman that checked me in. -Decent cable TV channels. -Comfortable bed. The Bad 3/5 -Their bathroom fan was really loud. -Their elevator had me second-guessing if I should use the stairs instead because it felt a bit shoddy and was a little bumpy for being only 3 floors. -Excessive noise from vehicles outside. -Dirty showerhead that was not mounted properly. -There were fewer options for breakfast than at their other Holiday Inn Express locations. -Below average juice quality and taste. The Ugly 1/5 I was going to use the bathtub but found some nasty-looking rust or something of the kind. -Their breakfast tasted old; maybe it's from yesterday's leftovers they just reheated due to lack of occupancy. I didn't see any bacon or hash browns or potatoes like other Holiday Inn Express properties. The biscuits were rock-solid hard and super dry, and the sausage links tasted old and not fresh like their egg omelettes. -Coffee tasted a bit sour for some reason, even with 1 pack of sugar and 2 pumps of creamer. -When checking out, I requested the final portfolio, but the morning crew couldn't provide one SMDH. It doesn't matter if guests booked through a third party; it should be available when asked. If I were in the Bay Area again and needed to choose a hotel/motel to stay in, this Holiday Inn Express in Morgan Hill, CA, would not be on my top 10 list.

It also has a really great gym which was really nice after a very long drive. The room itself was decent however they have a big gap on the bottom of the door and a lot of light was coming in at night. I ended up putting a towel underneath the door to stop the light. The bathroom also made a funny noise when you flushed, but other than that, it was a good stay. I am a little upset that you have to pay for parking. I don't understand why it's not like it's in a major city. Both gentlemen at the counter when I checked in and when I checked out were really nice and also very helpful

DO NOT STAY HERE! CANCELED MY RESERVATION WITHOUT MY APPROVAL!…read more I booked a reservation for my brother-in-law because he is moving and has nowhere to stay in the in between while waiting for his next spot to open up. I booked online then spoke with Nick and Nicolette initially to get this set up and confirm the information on 1/6 and the morning of 1/7 and they were extremely helpful. When he arrived to check in, he wasn't able to use my card for incidentals. I was already charged for the room because I booked online, so this whole thing is over a $55 charge. They also do not take any prepaid cards or use chime bank, so my brother-in-law did not have another form of payment. When I called to give approval, I was told they would use a credit card authorization form. While waiting for the form I received a call and was told they won't be able to use the form. When I asked if I could have someone else go down to put incidentals on their card, I was told no and that the reservation was being CANCELED. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and the guy told me no that his supervisor was busy. I asked for his name, and he hung up the phone on me, then I called back multiple times and once he finally answered I was told I was being rude, disrespectful and the call had just "dropped". I asked again for his name, and he just said "Don". I doubt that was his actual name and he told me I would not be getting a last name from him. He has a heavy accent, and it is 1/7/2026 12:37PM so whoever is working on this date and time is the person I spoke with. Compared to how Nick and Nicolette were, I am SHOCKED this guy works at the same hotel. I called back to cancel my second reservation and was just told again that I am rude and he said, "Do you want me to charge you?". He threatened to charge me. He THREATENED TO CHARGE ME. I am appalled. He is claiming I am extremely rude and disrespectful when I am matching his energy and responses. I have worked at hotels, and I work in HR, and I am extremely disgusted with the behavior I just encountered from this man. He was entitled. I can't believe he even has a job. He has left me in absolute tears. I hope that all calls are recorded for quality assurance because he needs to be fired for the way he handled this whole situation. I am dealing with all of this while at work which I repeated multiple times to him. "Don" has no communication, customer service or conflict resolution skills. I asked him what time he got off of work so I can call and get real help, and he wouldn't tell me because he clearly doesn't want me telling his supervisor everything he had said to me. I have stayed here and had family stay here in the past while visiting, so they also just lost a return customer. My brother-in-law now has nowhere to stay, and we are having to scramble to make other reservations when this has been set in stone. I am 19 weeks pregnant and did not need this added stress on my plate while just trying to book a room for my brother-in-law. I have worked at hotels and stayed at many and have never encountered a situation like this. I will be escalating this further in any way that I can. Our reservation should have never been canceled and this whole interaction should have never happened.

But there was no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands, the bathroom light flickered like we had a ghost and a lot of the room lights would time out and shut off so we were constantly turning them back on. The morning we were checking out we found a small roach in the sink which was gross and worrisome about what else might have been in the room with us or now in our bags on the way home. I will say the staff is very courteous and super friendly. Miranda was awesome on the phone when I made the reservation and the gentleman that checked my family in was helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was good and stocked. It was mostly food to be heated up in the toaster or microwave (packs of oatmeal, burritos, breakfast sandwiches, waffles, muffins, bagels, yogurt and cereal) but I wasn't expecting a buffet. It was perfect to grab and go. If we didn't find that bug in the bathroom I would say we would come back if we needed to stay again.

Formal Complaint - Unprofessional Conduct & Failure to Assist…read more I called the front desk on January 4, 2026 at 2:38 PM PT to follow up on card charges related to our booking from December 31, 2025 to January 1, 2026. The employee who answered the call was extremely unprofessional, dismissive, and disrespectful. Instead of providing assistance or even basic customer service, she spoke to me in a rude, hostile manner and abruptly told me to "call back on Monday to speak to the manager," without offering any help whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable. I did not call to be brushed off or spoken to like I was a problem--I called to resolve a legitimate billing issue tied to a confirmed booking. Her attitude and lack of professionalism reflect poorly on your establishment and warrant immediate follow-up. I expect: 1. A full review of this employee's conduct 2. A prompt follow-up regarding the card charges 3. Confirmation that this issue is being addressed seriously I am requesting that a manager or supervisor contact me directly to resolve both the billing issue and this incident. I will not tolerate being disrespected for simply asking for clarity on charges made to my card. Handle this appropriately and promptly. Re, Dreammark

I'm an arachnophobe, so that wasn't fun, but not the hotel's fault. I work in hotels too (not Extended Stay) and you can leave a room completely clean and ten minutes later an ant, spider, or carpet beetle can easily find its way in through a tiny hole, crack, etc. I was a director of housekeeping for several years at two full service hotels, so I've seen it all. Not their fault, just really, really dislike spiders. I attempted to latch the deadbolt on the door, and it didn't work. I pulled the door open and tried engaging, and that's when I found the entire assembly had become disconnected and the latch was being blocked by the assembly. (Picture included). Then my phone rang, which I answered. There was nobody on the other line. After saying hello a few times and getting no response, I hung up. I went downstairs with my video of the door latch issue and spoke with the front desk agent, who also checked me in. She was very friendly during check in, and seemed genuinely concerned about my door latch problem. Since I didn't feel safe, she offered to move rooms. She also apologized for the issue and mentioned she had tried to do a check-in follow up call and discerned my phone was also not working. I LOVE when hotels call their guests after arrival to ensure everything is great. That is a Forbes-level touch of service. It's too bad the phone didn't work. It was strange though, because my voicemail light was blinking after the call, and I could access my voicemail and hear that I had no messages - but an actual call didn't work. The desk agent also asked to take a picture of the video from my phone so she could open a maintenance ticket. I got into my new room which had a strange odor, semi-sticky floors, and a bathroom fan that sounded like a motorcycle was in my bathroom. It was LOUD. But I don't exactly spend my entire stay in a bathroom, so not a big deal. I left for dinner and when I came back the odor was gone and the floors didn't feel sticky anymore. I think the room may have been JUST cleaned when I checked in, and the chemicals hadn't dissipated yet. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable (the recliners are A+ - so comfortable I actually ended up sleeping half the night in the chair!) The room was quite clean (both rooms were very clean). I did end up waking up early morning and moving to the bed which was also very comfortable! The hallways were well-kept outside of the marijuana smell coming from one of the rooms. There are tons of power outlets, a great working desk/table for eating, a great fridge, good water pressure. I didn't need much of the amenities. A few things to note outside of my room experience: There are two parking spots closest to the front door reserved for law enforcement. How often is law enforcement coming? There are dozens of stray cats (they're adorable) in the parking lot, and I had to carefully dodge them while driving through because they would be sleeping in the middle of the road, and they gave no sh*ts about approaching cars. Hence, they don't move. They can hire someone to put out cat traps, but seeing how they live all communally despite being all different breeds, they're probably too smart or too dumb to get caught in traps. Plus it's a cute little bonus if you like cats. The stairwells which I prefer when not carrying luggage were well kept and clean. That is a sign of a clean hotel in addition to public restrooms. If back of house is clean, the rooms will be, too, in general. I attempted to check out at the desk but nobody was at the desk. I waited one minute and was never greeted by anyone, so I was unable to report the loud fan motor that shook the walls of the bathroom. Sorry if the hotel is just hearing this for the first time, but housekeeping needs to be more responsible for reporting that to maintenance. In most hotel quality assurance audits, which is the criteria a housekeeping inspector should use, one of the items is to ensure all safety measures are working. If the deadbolt didn't latch, it should have been reported immediately to maintenance. Overall: I'd give the property another chance if I'm unable to get my discount at one of my company's hotels (which was why I stayed here). The service from the front desk was good yesterday, but nothing to note this morning when no desk agent was available. I would take this as an opportunity to ensure housekeepers are reporting obvious maintenance issues, like a motorcycle engine in the ceiling, or safety protocols not in working order. HK and Engineering need to be close partners and function as one department - this ensures preventative maintenance is completed quarterly and day to day maintenance needs can be reported by the HK staff.
