The venue provided a coordinator to the couple and that person was changed out 5 times in the year long planning. The day of coordinator snapped at guests saying that she already told us to move to our seats once already. After ceremony it was not clear where cocktails hour would take place. Turns out that it was in the same room as reception so most guests went straight to their seats (no mingling.) The cocktails were great - bartender was fast and friendly. The DJ from the venue package declared that he does not make announcements of any kind as well as his set list was very boring and the music did not flow from song to song to keep the energy up on the dance floor. Dinner salad was sporadically dressed- some people our table got dressing while others did not. Food tasted fine - the cheesecake was served scooped like ice cream which is a different presentation from the couple's tasting. The day of coordinator questioned the cold sparks which were pre-approved (lack of communication with prior contacts.) After clarification, the coordinator permitted the cold sparks. Finally the late night buffet served sliders and fries with no condiments (no ketchup at all!!) The venue specializes in weddings and in my opinionl they are doing the bare minimum.

I had to take a couple of work meetings, and found the internet to be a little slow/choppy. But other than that it was a comfortable stay. The Starbucks in the lobby was helpful, and the location is super walkable, right in the heart of downtown Hamilton. The complimentary water bottles were super useful and a nice touch. They had a nice terrace and held a low-key viewing event for the eclipse. All-in-all we had the perfect little weekend getaway thanks to the Sheraton!

Walkable to most attractions. I highly recommend parking at their underground lot which will give you in and out privileges. The rate is good till 4 pm on the day of checkout. Room is standard and dated. Decor and layout is typical to Sheraton brand. Nothing too fancy but adequate for a short stay. Hotel is connected to Jackson Square and the bus terminal is right across the street. FYI: Go Bus serving YYZ and towards Richmond Hill has a stop in front of the hotel.

This time, after 2 years of covid coming back, figured I'd get a cute little Airbnb close to my family's house. Close it was and disaster it was! They came in 7-8 times to the unit in 12-14 hours of me being there. Unannounced, unauthorized! It was that crazy. Long story short, Airbnb got me out ( luckily after 4 -9 calls/ emails) and put me here. Not much was available. And I appreciate this so much more! Walking in here albeit it was late/ after a stressful day, this was such a haven. The front doors don't slide open at night due to homeless, they have to buzz you in! That threw me off a little like ok where am I!?! But I guess most cities/ downtown's having this problem right now. They have stuff shortage like everywhere else, so check in was just check in. You can get their luggage carts yourself, load and or park and load. The receptionist ( Meagan I believe) was super nice to let me park out to load/ check in first. Then go park underground. So much better that way. The room was super spacious. Kitchenette was super clean, bathroom was nice. Even the kind bed was comfy. Could look a little more better if they tuck in/ do a better bed prep. But! It was a ok without it :) They had breakfast every morning ( or my room came with it). I didn't make it most days (4 days) only because I don't eat breakfast. But I made it in for coffee which was available all day. Even decaf! They also had a happy hour thing/ Thursday 4-6:30 I believe. Some cheeses, drinks etc even some tacos. I went for juice and coffee. Still great. Overall , it was very empty during my stay. The gym was small but clean. The Hammer! Downtown Hammer/ Hamilton is busy/ but empty. It's a nice change. But perfect escape from my nightmare Airbnb! I don't know If I would like this place as much if book and check in here without Airbnb disaster. But I definitely appreciated my stay here! Only if they weren't so expensive though. I stayed in Park Hyatt Toronto after this. Thought about coming back but the prices here are pretty high. Not as high as Park Hyatt Toronto but almost as much as Hyatt Regency Toronto. This area doesn't have as many hotels. So I guess it makes sense. Regardless, I enjoyed my stay here! Great, clean hotel.

Rooms are the current standard Courtyard look, so I think that the hotel was refreshed fairly recently. Next time I visit for pleasure I look forward to returning here, though I hope that they install a car charger by that point!

I picked this months ago and after our experience, we were pretty satisfied overall. Our room was nice and spacious enough for the two of us. We had a queen bed and also a sofa that could be converted into a mattress from inside if needed. We also had a little kitchenette and full fridge which I was impressed by. We didn't use it during our quick stay but it was nice to have everything if we needed it. Breakfast was very nice actually. Since we stayed on the weekend, the hours were from 7:30-10:30 am. Food selection had alot of variety and there was always an attendant manning the area and greeting people. It was clean and accessible with many places to sit in the breakfast area. There were many rooms occupied on our floor, we could hear them when we were walking in the hall but not from our room. So I'm glad we weren't situated right next to any neighbors for our stay. All the staff and everyone we came in contact with were friendly, helpful, and professional. The only thing for me was that the fan was quite loud at times when I made the room cooler. It wasn't a white noise, "easy on the ears" type of sound. But luckily it would go away after some time. And the sofa was very firm, it wasn't comfortable. Those are really the only complaints about this place that I have, everything else was done well and we had a great stay here. Location was perfect for the TD Coliseum, restaurants in the area, and also for transportation and bus stops. It's walking distance and accessible to so many things. They gave us complimentary ear plugs. XD They had 2 security guys inside the hotel at night. The area is scary/sketchy, one lady was banging on the hotel door at 4am in the morning, screaming "let me in!" Another guy on Meth was sitting around the hotel in the morning. Found out, there is a shelter few blocks away. The garage is so small. Our floor smelled like wet dog. Their complimentary light dinner was inedible. Only good thing: Our room was clean.

Trash in plain sight under the lobby chair. No elevator, so hauling all our heavy bags up stairs was a good workout, but I wouldn't recommend it. Key card didn't work on the room door, so back down the stairs. Back up and the key card worked only after inserting and jiggling several times. After repeated new key cards, the lock never did work well. It was always a challenge getting into the room. The hallway carpets needed vacuuming badly. Trash was in the trash bins when we got into the room. Old food was in the fridge too. The room refrigerator was tiny, but worked, although the freezer part was deeply frosted. The shower curtain was heavily moldy. Had to ask for more towels, soap, and bathroom tissue as there were few towels, soap, etc. No coffee for breakfast. Coffee machine was broken. Orange juice machine was broken. Nowhere to park Saturday night. The parking lot was full! No receipt upon checkout even though a receipt was promised at checkout when I checked in. I was told a receipt would be emailed to me. It never was. I believe that it may be illegal to not provide an account summary when requested upon checkout. Anyway, now I have to wait for my credit card statement and if I see any funny business I'll file a complaint with Chase security. Competition is wonderful. You don't need to stay here, so please don't.

If you are looking for a full service hotel this is not the place, but if you want to try out a hostel I can't recommend this place highly enough. There is a full kitchen to use and even some free food available. The common areas are very comfortable and inviting. It's more like staying in a house with friends than staying at a hotel. I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Hamilton.

NO MAID SERVICE For 4 DAYS. Even though multiple request were made daily. The Management we spoke to each time only wanted to blame other shift workers for problems. Stains and holes on bedding. Went to front desk only to be given another blanket that was tattered and had holes. Absolutely zero accountability for the problems we experienced. Only perk was the free parking. We had a total of 3 rooms and similar problems arose in each one. Lessoned learned.... next time I will stick with a Marriott or Choice chain for comfort. Do a better job...... you guys are in the hospitality business after all!

From 7-12:30 there was a party next door (room 124) I called front desk, she'd put me on hold without a word (I could hear for the first time) I called 7 times with no response, I walked to front desk while calling on my cell, I watched her put it on hold. I told her about the kids, she said she's been busy to pick up phone. The 2 women she was chatting with said it's probably their group. no promises to keep the kids in line or an apology, just entitled grins. I called a few times after 10pm, she said she would talk to party people. She didn't (I could hear everything) The next few times I called a male attendant answered, said will take care of it but only called them after my 3rd call with him. Now the party moved to other side of my room into the stairwell. It got a lot louder and it lasted to around 12:30am. Then at 2am the snowplough came and woke me. I find the response of staff beyond inadequate and frankly, by allowing the inconsiderate behaviour of these kids groups, you are feeding into their behaviour. I will not be returning or recommending this place.
