Wow is all that i can say. I rented through Costco and i have never used Budget. When i arrived there was this "note" to call..i called three times and nobody answered. It went to a voicemail that wasnt set up. I waited and yelled hello. I was completely alone in this store and finally a young man came dashing through the door. He didnt apologize he just said i could stop calling ( the phone was ringing but it wasnt me). This location doesnt have a car wash, its in a strip plaza. He offered me three vehicles from the lot but quickly changed his mind. He said that each one was dirtier than the next. He told me that he was choosing one that had only been rented for 24 hours previously so it might br cleaner.., what? The one he finally gave me had Mcdonalds and trash jammed in rhe doors and he said he would clean it. It was falling to the ground. He gathered the trash from the unwashed vehicle and wiped the dashboard with a baby wipe. The car was so dirty i found food under the seats on my trip. It wasnt the dirtiest car ive ever seen, but never have i been presented a dirty rental that seemed like another family had dibs on it. I had to ask him to get the bugs off of the front windshield. Several weeks ago I went online to rent a full sized sedan to take my family and 2 pups to Orlando for fun and holiday weekend. I reserved the car PAID IN FULL UP FRONT from Friday to Monday. Went there on Friday to pick up my car and NO CAR!!!! They offered me a JEEP COMPASS which is a mini crossover NOT AN SUV! My choice was that or nothing. I left with nothing. I have a Ford F250 Super Duty so we took that instead. The woman there was completely useless. In the past my buddy there Deepak always made sure I was covered EVEN if they had to have a car driven to Coral Springs from the airport. read more

Their disclosure clearly stated that "if you get permission to rerun at a different location you won't be charged" of course they DID NOT adhere to their policy. The BEST RENTAL experience I've had, period! After having a horrendous experience with Enterprise rent a car this same day. I reached out to this Budget located in coral springs as my last resort. Enterprise decided to cancel my reservation bec they knew they had messed it up by giving my reserved car to someone else. They also didn't empathize or cared to rectify my situation. They didn't even have 1 car avail to cover my reservation. I had just gone through an accident that morning and they were aware. The Mgr had such an arrogant demeanor, i felt like my business wasn't good enough there. I was stranded and it was pouring rain. So i decided to contact this Budget last minute and as soon as I communicated my situation they empathized, listened and did everything they could and then some to accommodate me. They went above and beyond for me. Got me a reservation right away and even upgraded my rental to a luxury option. They didn't rush or made me feel like i was an inconvenience, even though it was close to their closing time. They were outstanding, i would recommend to anyone who's looking for a rental company. I've tried TURO, Enterprise, Avis, Sixt and none can compare to the quality of service this Budget location has. Recommend 1000%. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. how do you put -1 star review?... This is unbelievable. 3 weeks ago we made the reservation for a convertible. After 3 confirmations throughout the weeks to make sure it was ready, I showed up just a little early to make sure it was ready and they HAVE NO CONVERTIBLES. In fact, they have other reservations so there is another person who is planning on this and when the showup, they will be disappointed. They are blaming Budget reservations but they saw my (and the other persons) reservation for the car yesterday and didn't feel it was important enough to call us. If they knew they didn't have the cars, why would they wait for us to come in? They offered me another car but it was just a regular sedan. This guy working this morning was innocent. I felt bad for him because he did what he could. He is not the owner of this franchise. He called the airport and they are negative 5. They have 8 reservations for convertibles and only 3 cars available. they do this all time. read more

When I picked up the car, the gentleman and lady who were there were very nice, helpful and personable. I was scheduled to return it at 8am a few days later, and the man confirmed this with me, so I know they were going to be open at that time. I was so grateful they were open at 8a because I had to return the car before work that day. When I arrived to return the car at 8am, however, there was no one there. I called the phone number on the door and got connected to a national line since there wasn't anyone in yet. After a few automated options, I was told to call the national customer service line, and I had to call that twice because the first time went on a loop of automated options that eventually hung up on me anyway. When I called back and finally got someone, it was just in time for the Budget worker to come walking in & unlock the door at 8:18a. Yep that's how long trying to call customer service took. When I walked in, she heard me come in and was in no hurry to put her stuff down or in a locker (which I could hear she was doing from the counter) to help me quicker since she was obviously late. No 'hello' or 'I'll be right there' nor any acknowledgement. When she was checking me in, no 'sorry for the the delay I hope you didn't have to wait long' - nothing! Listen, shit happens and I understand, but she never even looked me in the eyes nor acknowledged any remorse that she was obviously late!! If we as customers are bound to the times that we have to return the vehicle, so should the Budget staff. I've never experienced this from any other Budget locations, and I usually rent from Budget. read more

Beware: bait and switch. I rented a large suv. Day before I called twice to confirm the car would be there but they didn't answer. I confirmed on line instead. When I got there, on time, they didn't have a large SUV. They said sorry. They said they do it all the time!!! When I asked why they didn't tell me in advance so I could go elsewhere they said sorry. When they gave me a dirty 15 passenger van they said sorry. When they couldn't lower the price to match the car they said sorry. Horrible company. Run! Don't rent here. My car was clean and smoke free as promised and the staff was so great. It was only a minor differential to upgrade my car. I wasn't planning on it but is was worth it. They were really clear about upcharge for not filling my tank so I was careful to do it and everyone was really nice, the manager was really helpful, even suggested best Cuban foods to try. read more

We made a reservation over the phone for a rental car to drive from Florida to North Carolina one way. We got a great rate because of my Costco membership, and they didn't charge us a typical one-way fee or fee to drop off the car at a different location than pick up. We got here on time to pick up the car. There was only one lady working that day so she was extra busy, but we were in and out of there in 15 minutes. She upgraded out economy car to a mini-minivan (Mazda 5 I think). The only complaint I have is that she charged our credit card as a debit card so there was a $200 hold on the account that was not explained to us. We purposely used the credit card so that there wouldn't be the hold, but luckily it fell off the day after we returned the vehicle (as promised by the customer service representative and the gentleman at the returning location). Had I used a different credit card though, I would have had a large issue to deal with with the bank for insufficient funds. This location is located right next to Einstein bagels on University Drive in Coral Springs. I would use Budget again for car rentals. Decent experience overall. read more

My company recently rented a car for a business trip, from this independently owned Budget. "DON'T RENT FROM THIS PLACE". Dishonest, rude, terrible service. The price quoted my boss online, was different than at the time of rental by $100. A fee was charged for a second driver. We asked if someone would be able to give us ride to our home upon rental returned, he said absolutely. The car was returned on time, a woman who said was the manager. Said no we do not give rides home. She also said that she was closing in five minutes and I could not wait inside. read more

We planned to rent a car, when we went to pick it up they told us it was on the way still. So we had to push back our time to head out on our trip. Then when we get there, at almost 7 pm, they didn't have the car they originally planned for us. The lady who "tried" to help us was no help at all and didn't seem to care at all. I rent from Budget often, and this is my third time renting from this location. Each time, every single person that I've come across has been beyond friendly, accommodating, and professional. The cars are always clean and feel like brand new. This last visit the gentleman (who I think is the general manager or owner) gave my daughter chocolates and also a pack of freeze pops. The individual there (a hispanic woman) was sullen and unhelpful. She accused be of hitting something to get the flat (I didn't). She didn't seem to be any more pleasant to the other renters there. This location deserves 0 stars. Today we rented a suv from this location, which had been reserved in person as well as confirmed over the phone. Originally the reservation was for a minivan but We realized it would be too small. We did not receive the car we were promised and didn't realize it till we left. When we called to find out why we didn't get the correct SUV we were informed that we were lucky we got one at all. They refused to call other locations to find us the correct vehicle. We then began calling different locations looking for the correct suv. No one in this company knows what is going on. You call and after playing push the buttons and finally getting a human on the line, you are told x location has it but you have to call. You call the location and are rerouted to a main call center. Once again no one actually helps. Then when we decided to just return the vehicle and take our own vehicle Budget had the audacity to advise there would be a $150 cancellation fee. So your employees screw up and you honestly believe we should pay? I don't think so. We did not and will not pay for an employee's incompetence. Because of this incompetence it placed us more than 3 hours behind on a very tight schedule. Needless to say we will never use this Budget again. God willing you'll be put out of business. read more

After looking all morning for a car rental place for a last minute ride that was unexpected. So you can imagine we struggled with time and funds. Our last resort we came to budget and reserved a vehicle, just to get us by for a day. Other places needed credit card and credit checks which made it more difficult for us. The lady at the counter at this Budget location was very helpful, she was so kind enough to help us in our situation. She made the whole day for us with her help. I wish I could've gotten her name because she truly was a life saver. I would definitely go back and rent from them again. read more
