This is a well established Cardiff family business, established in 1966. The retail showroom of the business (which also includes electricians and a spares repairs outlet) is based in Birchgrove in Cardiff. They stock a wide range of electronical goods from the larger ones such as washing machines and cookers, through to the smaller appliances such as can openers, telephones etc... The store offers a delivery and installation service and employs staff who are knowledgeable about the products they are selling (a welcome change from the blank looks one can sometimes get when making enquires in the larger electronical stores). We recently bought an oven Budds and were very pleased with the service we received. My Grandpa who is 81 has shopped at Budds for years and will go nowhere else when purchasing TVs, DVD players etc... read more

Our fridge door hinge broke (so a warming fridge full of food), and I was unable to find the rating plate. The manufacturers repairers quoted 4 days for a call out and then a further few days to a week for the repair. I phoned Budds at 08:30 and the engineer came at 09:00, ordered the part and it was repaired in 36 hours. I've used them twice previously for my parents flat and each time the service has been faultless and to a high quality. Couldn't recommend them more highly. The shop is excellent as well read more

I am a returning Budd customer. My15 yr old washing machine 'died' 5 days ago and I looked on line to narrow my new machine choices. I called at the Budd showroom on Wednesday afternoon where the salesman answered my numerous queries. I made my choice and paid. My new machine was delivered and installed this morning (Friday) by Damion and Rhys of whom I cannot speak highly enough. They were very pleasant, did a quick, efficient job, took my old machine away and left no mess. A happy ending to a grim story just before Christmas. Thank you again to a local trader. read more

We had three electrical items delivered and fitted today - an undercounter fridge, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Damian and Rhys who had quite a challenge in removing our large fridge freezer did a marvellous job with this and in fitting the dishwasher. They were careful, considerate and very tidy in clearing up as they went along. Additionally, they were cheerful and very polite. Our undercounter fridge was also fitted by Adrian quickly and efficiently. We are delighted with all our items and must highly commend the level of service we received from buying the items in store to the delivery and fitting. Well done Budds our local store! read more
