Von Maur is kinda like a Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale store...but better. Had a lovely experience for my first time here. Service is a solid 10/10! My review is for Teresa and Jill. Teresa helped me connect with Jill from alterations to do the measurements. I'm ordering a custom Vietnamese dress (Ao Dai) and needed a lot of measurements done. Both Jill and Teresa spent time with me to do measurements and write them down. They're both literal angels. Highly recommend going to them if you need assistance with anything. Specifically, Jill can help with altering blouses, pants, sleeves etc. Also, shout out to Christy for welcoming me to Fort Wayne and helping me get some cologne. I left and went straight to Louie's Tux Shop where I was actually treated with respect. My wedding party of 10 groomsmen will all be taking our business and our $$$ fat wallets $$$ to Louie's. Men's Warehouse has the worst customer service I've ever seen and this place needs to be shutdown and condemned for the rest of eternity. I don't even know how they get any customers at all. They lack all skill of treating anyone with the least bit of human decency. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

I had a scheduled appointment at Men's Wearhouse for a tux rental, but the experience was extremely…read moredisappointing. When we arrived, the store was very busy, so I asked the cashier how to check in for our appointment. Instead of giving a professional or helpful response, he rudely waved his hand in the air toward a group of people gathered for measurements and said "as you can see there are lots with appointment." We went over to that area, but no one acknowledged us or asked whether we had an appointment. Meanwhile, other customers who came in after us were greeted and helped before we were. I never heard mention of an appointment, thus the impression was most, if not all were walk-ins. After waiting 10-15 minutes, and feeling completely overlooked, we decided to take our business elsewhere. Mind you, the tall, older gentleman manning the register was just standing there watching. We went to Louie's across the street, and even though they were also busy, they were friendly, welcoming, and acknowledged us right away. We chose to go back the next day and had a far better experience at Louie's. The staff had us in and out in 15-20 minutes! I've used Men's Wearhouse in the past for business attire, but after this experience, I won't be returning. Even when compared to my best experiences at Men's Wearhouse, Louie's outshines them!

The shop also sells hats, candles, and jewelry. What I enjoy most about shopping here is interacting with the staff. They are friendly but not overbearing, and very helpful. I liked their previous store location, and love their (somewhat) new location on The Landing. Across from the home décor store and next to a restaurant, The Urban Hippie's namesake fits in perfectly with this trendy area of Downtown Fort Wayne.

Most other retailers have already liquidated their Christmas stock but they keep on holding onto it. There's still have items from Thanksgiving that's only marked down to 40% off. The prices of items are marked higher so that you can use the 15 to 30% off coupon they send you every month for "savings". Kohl's cash promotion is also simply annoying. They time it such that there are no other promotion so you end up paying a higher price for items. If you return things with Kohls cash then you end up having to cough that money back up to Kohl's so you don't even get the full return price. Overall, their business strategy is very disappointing and this is not one of those stores that I enjoy shopping at.

The two female associates were friendly and professional and allowed me to browse and try on outfits without being over-involved. The products were well-organized and divided by gender, color, and size. I felt like I was able to see everything in my size that I was interested in without searching or feeling overwhelmed. Speaking of size... I noted they have an excellent variety of sizing from xs to 3x. That is great news for people who can't even expect to see their size carried in some stores today! I left the store purchasing two outfits, a blazer and a winter vest (all name brands or 'vintage' and on trend) for less than $40. I have officially become a loyal customer and I look forward to trying their other location soon.
