We were told that they didn't have volunteers to run it. Hmmmm... the Mercantile had a wide selection of merchandise from decor to jewelry and even some antique furniture way in the back. We enjoyed shopping and even brought home a mid-century magazine stand that had been using as a display at the front of the store. We enjoyed our visit but it seemed incomplete without the soda shop experience.

I told them that they would have to drive it to confirm what I was saying. I was met with well we don't have time to drive your car around. The car was there for 5 weeks. John researched the parts, verified the engine, and I had the tools on hand to ensure a good solid field repair. After securing the belts in place and driving on to Brownwood for grocery shopping. I was on a very strict budget but I got all set up to brew and keg with brand new equipment for only a few hundred bucks including two beer recipes.
