Complaint Against Buckhead Roofing I hired Buckhead Roofing to replace my roof and financed the project through Goodleap Finance. The work began on Thursday, July 3rd, when their crew arrived around 11:00 AM. Later that day, one of the crew members informed me that the employee who measured my roof had done so incorrectly, and they were running out of shingles. I was told more shingles would need to be ordered, and they would return Monday, July 7th to complete the job. On July 7th, James, the Buckhead Roofing representative I had been working with, returned with one roofer to continue the work. I was unable to inspect the roof immediately, but within a day or two I noticed a clear difference in the color of the shingles between the portion completed on 7/3 and the portion completed on 7/7. I immediately texted James about the issue. He acknowledged the problem and stated that more shingles would be ordered and a crew would be sent to correct it. Despite this, no correction has been made. Weeks later, an inspector hired by Buckhead arrived at my home. When I showed him the roof and the texts from James confirming the work was not complete, the inspector expressed frustration, saying he had driven over 6 hours from South Carolina for an inspection that could not be completed on an unfinished roof. He left without performing the inspection. I then contacted Goodleap Finance to ensure they had not released funds for an incomplete project. They informed me that Buckhead had already submitted a letter of completion. I explained that I had written proof from James himself that the work was not finished. Goodleap has since attempted multiple times to contact Buckhead Roofing with no success. As of today, I am left with a roof that looks patchy and unprofessional despite paying $17,000 for this replacement. I am not seeking anything for free; I only want the roof corrected to the standard I paid for. If Buckhead Roofing continues to ignore this matter, my next step will be pursuing legal action with an attorney. Review of Buckhead Roofing: A Complete Lack of Professionalism and Communication I strongly advise staying as far away as possible from Buckhead Roofing. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. I initially contacted them in September 2024 to replace two roofs on our property, and everything started off relatively smoothly. I spoke with a representative named Michael, who seemed communicative and provided updates, and we were set to begin once the shingles arrived. However, the situation quickly took a turn for the worse. As winter came and went, I didn't hear from anyone, and I assumed delays were due to weather. Then, in February 2025, I received a call from a man named Granger, who stated he was taking over for Michael. He informed me that he needed to re-measure the roof and was already on-site--without any prior communication or scheduled appointment. This was my first major red flag, and I should have canceled right then. The project was supposed to begin on Thursday, March 21, 2025, with shingles scheduled to arrive the day before, March 20. On Tuesday, March 18, I received a generic message from Buckhead Roofing asking me to clear the perimeter of the house to prepare for roof replacement on Friday, March 21, 2025. However, the shingles never arrived on March 20, leading me to believe the project was still set for Friday, based on the message I received. But then, on Thursday morning, my elderly mother informed me that Buckhead Roofing arrived with ten workers and started tearing off the roofs of both houses, completely without warning or confirmation of the date or time. They began work but quickly ran out of shingles to finish even one of the roofs. Granger told me they would order more shingles and return on Friday to finish the job. When Friday came, by noon, the company had not shown up. I called Granger, and he told me they were having difficulty acquiring the shingles. At 3 p.m., Stewart from the company arrived in his personal vehicle with the additional shingles, promising they would return on Saturday morning to complete the work. As of now, after multiple calls with no responses or updates from Buckhead Roofing, they have not shown up, and the project remains unfinished. This lack of professionalism, poor communication, and complete disregard for customer service is beyond unacceptable. BEWARE: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their lack of follow-through and failure to communicate at every step of the process has been incredibly frustrating. If you value your time, money, and sanity, I highly recommend finding a different, more reliable roofing company. read more

Buckhead Roofing has very professional employees from the lady that answered the phone to the sales person to the crew they finished ahead of schedule and someone even went around the house 3 times making sure all the debris and nails were cleaned up! Their pricing was on par too we had 3 other companies come out and give us estimates and 1 company was more expensive and then another company has a 3 month wait time then the other company just never contacted us back! read more

First, the only reason we chose Buckhead is because of the 6 company's we got a quote from, they were the only one that came the same day we called and they were the only one to actually get up on my roof to inspect. Now the cons. We were told they would start the day after the material is delivered. Three days after delivery, 4 Spanish speaking men arrived. Thank God for Google Translate because I don't speak Spanish or Mexican and they didn't know a lot of English. The old roof was taken off fast and they started installing new roof the same day. The second day was rough. A new crew (3 different people from the first day) was dropped off. Wrong vents were installed. we wanted ridge vents, they installed box vents. When they installed the drip strip, about a 10 foot section needed to be replaced. they used 5 shorter pieces instead of 1 piece. we called to get them back out here. I talked to 4 different people from crew supervisors to office managers promising to fix it. None have done any thing so right now I don't want them back out here on my roof or on my property. They also lied about a third party inspection, no one ever came out hereto inspect. Bad business and no communication. Do not trust these guys. They are treating my neighbor the same way. read more

Really satisfied with Buckhead Roofing. One of their sales ladies, Dawn knocked on my door offering a free inspection. I already have my roof under contract with another company but she was very respectful of that and offered help in case it falls through. Love seeing a women, wish she came by first- she was wonderful! I will recommend! read more

I called about a quote regarding hurricane damage to a property in Augusta, GA. Guy named Dean came out to give an estimate and was very quick to respond initially. After seeing the property and inspecting the damage, Dean called to say he would have another guy give a second look because of damage to a firewall. Never heard anything back. Waiting for the estimate, I called Dean to see where it was as it had been a few days. He said he would send it over first thing the next day. He did not, until I called (his direct line first, no answer) the Buckhead roofing office and the receptionist put him on the phone. The estimate I finally received had a single dollar amount with no breakdown of line items or scope of work to be addressed. My insurance adjuster basically laughed at it because the estimate was twice the estimated cost from insurance with no explanation as to why. Having been a contractor myself, this looks like pricing out a customer to get rid of or avoid doing the job for other easier possible more lucrative jobs. I get it, I've been there, but never so blatant. Called Dean to let him know o would need an itemized estimate. That was five days ago and I've called a Dean at least 3 times since to hear nothing but excuses and empty promises. Anyways I'm done trying with this company. Totally unprofessional and reception was rude when I called to leave a complaint, so they don't care either. I don't know what company to recommend, but do know which one to avoid. Having read the other posters review I'm glad it didn't work out with Buckhead, maybe it was for the best and I've avoided a scammer. I will never not tell people to avoid this business. I will go out of my way, every time someone mentions roof work, to let them know not to use this business. All Dean had to do was follow through with his word, Deans word is useless. P.S. Buckhead roofing came out and checked my roof for free since they were doing my neighbors roof. They were very professional. They told me my roof had some damage but not enough for replacement yet. Dawn said she would come back every 6 months and re-inspect it to be sure I have no problems. She sent photos and I appreciated her honesty! read more
