Buckeye Equine is the best. All the Vets are great but shout out to Dr Shaw. He's truly amazing. Gayle is also absolutely wonderful. We have a large boarding facility, and they are always great but especially this week as our girl Hope has been very sick. They have gone above and beyond, and I'll never forget it. With a wide range of practical experience from the racetrack and sporthorse lameness evaluations and treatment to extensive reproductive medicine and camelid production, our practice is unique. Our hospital has a camelid Intensive Care Unit, a fully equipped equine exam room, and a laboratory for blood-work and PRP/IRAP processing. Some weekend appointments are available.

History

Established in 2000.

Buckeye Veterinary Service began with Dr. Larry Agle, whose focus has been sport horses and camelids. Dr. Ken Keckler became involved in September 2007, with Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Standardbred racetrack horse experience. Dr Thomas Shaw joined in 2015 bringing racetrack experience and an interest in medicine and dentistry. Dr Noah Bianco started in the fall of 2022 having racetrack and pleasure/ performance horse interests. Spring of 2008 saw the grand opening of our new office/hospital building with an indoor arena and equine exam room. We have a gastroscope to evaluate horses for stomach ulcers, digital radiography (xray) and ultrasound, and a full in-house laboratory.
