We used them for our wedding in April and got the bundle package of a DJ, photo booth, and photographer. We saved money doing it this way and it really is a great deal. The cons: You get what you pay for and the quality of many of our pictures were not as good as the ones taken by friends and family. I wasn't even looking in our big group photo with our dog and the whole bridal party and I wish Stephanie, our photographer would have been a bit more mindful. There were also some other images that the lighting seemed really over exposed. It was raining so I will say her options of staging were slightly limited. We had to complete a long form on the website stating which pictures we wanted, songs we wanted to hear, and anything we didn't want played. The form is user friendly but the site is slow and the process took a really long time. The pros: The music was amazing! I mean, we picked it most of it out but Caleb also did his own thing for cocktail hour and we got a ton of compliments on the music. He also kept the night flowing and everyone on track. And while we might not have gotten every picture we wanted, we still got quite a few priceless ones. Also the photo booth customization choices for pictures are another plus! read more

Byron was extraordinarily rude to my wife when she was planning and considering hiring his company to DJ my son's wedding. He would not discuss any details with her because "she is not the client, even if Mommy is paying." When my son heard how condescendingly he treated his mother, he decided he did not want to support such a man and his company and hired another DJ. read more

Josh Cianca at Buckeye Entertainment was the DJ at our wedding and was spectacular! He was professional, organized, attentive, and overall just fun to work with! About two or three weeks before our wedding, we had a pre-planning meeting where we discussed the timeline, the atmosphere we were going for, and our requests for the wedding. For example, one of our biggest gripes with DJs at other weddings are the cheesy games, MCing, etc. so we were pleased that Buckeye Entertainment explicitly does not do that unless the client specifically requests it. During the wedding, Josh checked in on us regularly to let us know when specific events were happening, such as dinner being served, first dance, etc. and communicated well with our guests and other vendors to keep the timeline moving smoothly. He moved seamlessly between the jazz vibe for dinner and cocktail hour to the first dances, then party time - and kept our guests on the dance floor all night! We were just so impressed with his talent and ability to read the room and keep the vibe going (and inserting "rest" songs as appropriate)! Our wedding day was just phenomenal, and Buckeye Entertainment was a huge part of making that happen! I cannot recommend Buckeye Entertainment highly enough - you will NOT be disappointed! read more

I have been to a few weddings where Buckeye Entertainment was the DJ company, and overall they played music for the crowed that was enjoyable. Therefore, I hired them for my event in spring of 2020. Throughout the experience working with them, they showed me below average customer service. I was planning this event from out of town, and they were unable to accommodate this and offered very limited times to meet. Additionally, the website they use is outdated and confusing/time consuming for song selections. When the Coronavirus hit and we had to postpone our event, we got a nasty email from the owner and then did not hear back from him again for over 9 months. We were unable to reschedule with them and were not offered a refund (or really any kindness or empathy). I would recommend at least talking with other companies to see what is out there rather than booking this company. read more

I heard good things about these guys so I booked a consultation appointment. I initially received good vibes from them, and thought they would be willing to work with us. The next day I received an email that stated that we were too selective with our song list and that they would not be the DJ company for us. Not included was anything resembling an apology or a legitimate explanation. If you aren't picky about your song choices then these might be the guys for you, otherwise I would advise that you go elsewhere. read more

I hired this company for a Holiday Party. The DJ was horrible. He was not personable. Guests at the party submitted songs. He did not play them. I don't think I heard him talk at all. I was not expecting this at all from reading the reviews. One review I read said the DJ ran the show. I had the opposite experience. I could have had anyone play songs. The fact that the owner of this business feels it is appropriate to follow former clients on Facebook should show his professionalism. I DO NOT need to defend my decision to have a small ceremony on the beach, which we made months later after my mothers passing. It is honestly none of his business. But if he really wants to know, we had our honeymoon planned to FL prior to her death, scheduled a month later on spring break since my husband is a teacher, and with the encouragement of my husband, we decided to have a small elopement on the beach. Since he seems to be stalking me on Facebook and won't leave me alone, maybe he would also like to know we have an Ohio marriage license, so this 'elopement' wasn't in the plans. I had no idea that we had to report our plans to him? Losing my mother to a stroke when she was 43 and had just bought a mother of the bride dress a night before also wasn't in my plans. We have contacted his lawyer and will require that all further contact go through attorneys, as he refuses to leave this matter alone. read more

I was so excited to work with this company until COVID-19 happened and I had to postpone my wedding to next summer. This company was very unprofessional, all the emails were extremely passive aggressive and they had NO interest in helping me reschedule my day. After many attempts for new dates, I was told "they were booked" almost each time. They ended up telling 2 of my good friends that they had services available after I was told no on those dates. Buckeye entertainment is VERY dishonest. I unfortunately paid in, they will not give me a refund and I am out thousands of dollars. I'm a local wedding photographer and have worked with Buckeye Entertainment at several events. The team is always helpful and helps me keep the event on schedule. Buckeye Entertainment was absolutely phenomenal to work with! They are prompt and professional. Jordan, our DJ was fantastic. Before the wedding he was prompt and helpful with helping pick a good playlist and ensuring we had a realistic timeline. On the day of the wedding, he made sure everything was in order for our ceremony & reception, made sure we stayed on track with our time, and played an amazing playlist during the reception. We had several guests comment on how much fun our music was to dance to, and it was refreshing from other weddings that just play the normal trendy pop music. I'm going to start this review by saying I have NEVER written a negative review about a company. I have been treated unfairly numerous times but this company has exceeded all of that. This company is VERY UNORGANIZED. They will not respond to a text, email, phone call for about 5 days in between. Byron the owner states they do 500+ events a year and when you email him with your wedding date and party name he forgets who you are. Very Embarrassing to say the least. I left my personal cell phone with Bryon and told him to have the DJ contact me whenever its convenient for him. I get a message 6 days later that says he's been booked for a corporate event. Byron sets me up with another DJ, So I let him know to call me again. I received a message later stating that DJ is also unavailable and is company won't be able to provide a DJ for our wedding. Bryon and his crew may be fantastic DJs but the office work and communication needs a lot of work. If they cant handle 500 events a year it might be time to hire some office staff to handle the communication and booking. PLEASE look at the other negative reviews as they mostly have to do with lack of commutation and lack of professionalism . I wish I would have before we wasted weeks trying to have a DJ from Buckeye contact us. I have not written this review to tear down Byrons company that he has built. I am writing this review as more of a encouragement for Byron to hire some additional office staff to help out with booking and communication. Currently the company is very unprofessional in this area but could become very professional and responsive with the right office staff in place. read more

We used Day of Coordinator from Cathy for our New Years Eve wedding because our #1 goal was to "be a guest" at our own wedding. As someone who does event management as part of my day job, I didn't want to have to worry about all the little details on the day of my wedding and I wanted to just enjoy being a bride and being present in every moment. From the moment I met Cathy in my initial consultation, I knew we had to book her! She was always responsive to my emails, offered me advice on some ideas I was planning for the event, assisted with ensuring the timeline for the wedding made sense, allowed me to drop off all our venue decor to her before our rehearsal dinner so she could set up everything on the day of the wedding, coordinated with all of our other vendors to ensure that everything was organized, met with us for our wedding rehearsal and helped us coordinate that and then did EVERYTHING (and I do truly mean everything) the day of our wedding. When I arrived to the venue after hair and make up everything was almost set up. If something went wrong that day, I had absolutely no knowledge of it and everything appeared perfect to me. Cathy gave me the peace of mind I needed that day and I trusted her completely. If I ever get married again (not saying I'd ever plan to), I'd hire Cathy again in a heart beat. I literally can't say enough how grateful I was the have Cathy as my right hand gal during our wedding. We also hired the photo booth for the event and would do it again. They allowed us to provide our own photo props- and being a NYE wedding it was very easy to just go to Party City and pick stuff up. All of our guests loved using the booth (as we could tell from the +1000 pictures we received via link from Buckeye Entertainment after the wedding of all the photos that were taken that night). We didn't go the traditional route of hiring a DJ because we already had one booked by the time we found Buckeye Entertainment. But, the "other services" they offer were top notch. Using Buckeye Entertainment for my DJ, photographer, and photo booth was the best decision I made for my wedding! I was so fortunate to work with DJ Vik and Josiah Bremer as my photographer . The entire process was organized, detailed, and extremely professional. Both of these guys are incredible and made my special day perfect. He was so professional and was so calm, cool, and collected despite all the chaos of the day, which is exactly what we needed.
