Cute boutique located inside one of the anchor antique shops in Waynesville. The owner is usually…read morearound and will tell you the story of all of her products and why she offers them in her shop. Lots of kitschy decor for your house. She's a big animal lover (her shop is named after her dogs Etsy and Elle I believe) so she also sells items for your pets. I love coming in to check out the clothing she offers that you can't find in the big box stores. Last year I stocked up on scarves and gave them as gifts during the Christmas season. There's always something new in the shop that I didn't know I needed until that very moment. Definitely worth checking out if you're in search of a gift.

From the owner: Etselle is a new concept, a sort of rural boutique! It offers a host of refined, even handmade…read moreproducts for your person or your home in a warm rustic country atmosphere. Located in the heart of the Waynesvillle Antique District adjacent to the Waynesville Antique Mall on South Main Street, a visit to Etselle may remind you of that old English wives' tale about a successful wedding union that is comprised of "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue". The OLD would certainly be the antiques we offer, with a special emphasis on vintage antique hardware, literally thousands of pieces. The NEW is offered in the presence of home décor items, candles, jewelry, art and much more. The BORROWED is represented in the form of ideas and concepts borrowed from the past and re-created and re-purposed, in the form of furniture and accessories. And the BLUE is most assuredly represented in vast selection of blue Ball Jars at the Ball Jar Repurposing Center, the only one in the area! Etselle is derived from the names Etsy and Elle - the owners two mastiffs - but don't worry they stay home everyday so you won't have to deal with them on your next visit! But for those of you who also have dogs and care for them like we do ours, Etsy and Elle have made sure that we have something special available at Etselle for the dogs in your family too!!

Great finds for decent prices. Totally unassuming: this shop…read more"under-sells and over-delivers! Skip the clothing altogether but spend hours browsing over everything else. I got a 1955 (Jetson's era meets 1930s art deco) electric coffee maker in mint condition (with all the parts) for $35!!! Sure it wasn't cheap, but it was totally worth it! $22 seems to be the number of choice for most jewelry and accessories (which I found to be slightly overpriced). Great music played loud but didn't bother me one bit, in fact it added to my overall enjoyment and experience of the shop. Great selection of authentic broaches and jewelry. Limited bake-light and lucite items though the few they DO have are priced fairly. Best part is by far the antique household items. Large selection of records with Lou Reed having his own section! Dressing room is the restroom. Restroom is small, dingy, dirty but again, works with the vibe of the place so it didn't bother me. It felt kinda like a live art museum where you can pick things up in one place and then leave them in another. Everything was scattered around and mixed together so it made you really have to look and interact with the space. I had a fun time. It felt like an artist date!

This place had so many great finds and the prices were reasonable. It's definitely a place you have…read moreto do a little digging in. There's way too much stuff for the small size of the store. Great selection of odd-ball dresses and jackets from different decades. Good amount of accessories if you're looking for small pins, rings and other jewelry. They will lower the prices on items if you just ask. Lots of floaters outside and 25-cent peep show-type places.

Vintage Marketplace whisks shoppers off on an adventure as they walk through the doors. Filled with…read morefashionable garments and trinkets with a vintage flare, I felt like I was browsing through rooms of European merchandise. Each area is categorized by color: blues to the right, browns and whites straight ahead, violets in the back of the store. Open doorways weave in and out of the dividing wall, allowing customers to float freely from continent to continent... er... section to section. Beautiful, plush scarves caught my eye, as well as some of the old writing table decorations. One room in the back was filled with an assortment of accessories, like jewelry, hair barrettes, and hats. Incredibly well organized, this shop is like strolling through a fashion museum. Prices were a little higher than expected, and although there were two salesladies in the store, neither of them acknowledged that I was there. That bumped Vintage Marketplace down to three stars. I'd still stop back for a browse though. The window display changes frequently (and, in my opinion, is the most elaborate in Hyde Park), so something new will likely draw me in again.

When I walked in the salesperson was behind the counter, but each room I went in to, she followed me. I ended up spending over $300.00 and I will return, but hopefully they will show respect to all their customers no matter what they look like.
