This was just what I needed. I'd say this is a medium-sized bookstore chain, with a pretty nice…read morefeeling to it, though it is not as personal as a privately owned establishment. I was able to find German-language books on any subject, and there is a pretty good English-language section there, too. A nice selection of history, gardening, cooking, fiction, dictionaries like Langenscheidt, what must be the largest selection of Teubner cookbooks on earth, Dr Oetker cookbooks, and more. The employees were helpful and friendly and helped me hunt for a book title I wanted. The employees were kind of funny, actually. I was trying to speak German to them, but they gave me a blank look and immediately started speaking perfect English back to me. I must have been murdering their language and didn't know it, or have a horrble American accent, or both. Oh well. Spending some time in this place is a nice way to enjoy the evening, pouring over books, dreaming of things you'd like to do or places to see, learning about the larger world around you. This store is in Wiesbaden, Germany; I don't know why the address is shown in North Carolina. Enjoy.

They also have fun areas of nick-nacks such as calendars, journals, cards etc. They even have a little cafe downstairs. I didn't buy anything on this day, but I definitely will be back.

You can for sure get lost in this bookshop! The atmosphere…read moreis nice and there are lots of unique books. There is no rush and you can just amble along if you like. In the back are also some supplies for medical students, which was a surprise. Staff seems helpful and nice. The location is really easy to get to since it is directly next to the elevator going up to the Altstadt. If you want to go to the antique bookshop, make sure to come early. It may close before the rest of the store.

A fabulous gigantic book shop right in the heart of Bonn. Looks small from the outside and the…read moremoment you step in you see the old building with high ornate ceilings and floors of books. I could spend a day here just browsing and reading. There is a whole kids section in the UG floor and a huge selection of topics and books to choose from. I will definitely be back next time I am in town :-))

Once inside you will discover a land that has 4 levels of reading material to excercise your brain power! And best part of all, there's a section on the 3 floor that looks like balcony theatre seats that you would see at the opera! How cool is that?! After snuggled in your comfy velvet theatre seat, browsing through your stack of books, you get sleepy. Time to leave and get some coffee .. but no! The fun doesn't need to stop here, just mosey over to the back of floor 3 and order up yourself a cappuccino, because the baristas have skills! Feel free to grab a seat on the outside balcony and do some people watching as it overlooks the main center of the Bonn hbf square area. One thing that would earn the 5th star is more seats. If the 3 floor is taken up, there are a few random chairs throughout the store but not as comfy. Thalia- you bring out the nerd in me! See you next weekend!
