Lovely friendly atmosphere, we got a warm welcome when we arrived. They do a good range of food served Mon-Sat 12pm -8pm and Sunday Lunch 12pm - 3pm. I have not tried a Sunday lunch yet but have been midweek when the food was lovely, generous portions! I thought the cost of the main meals were very good and were what I expect from a local pub. Talking to the lady behind the bar she informed us that they have just added some B&B accommodation, this will come in handy for relatives visiting us from Yorkshire, a bit different from the usual premier inn. The pub itself has a very nice lounge, very relaxing with fireplace. There is plenty of seating in the restaurant and this has a warm atmosphere. There is a separate bar area which also has a nice feel to it. I will come back here again, and although I do not live in Ellington, i wish this was my local! Plenty of parking outside the pub. Fantastic pub grub with a good atmosphere and pleasant surroundings, I'll be back!

One of the group cheekily added her request to the already comprehensive menu,........ and got it, Katrina actually going out to obtain her request. Stunning!! Can't speak too highly of the food, some fussy eaters were really blown away by the quality of the food. The Inn itself, is lovely and comfortable, with great atmosphere. Thanks for making the meal special x

Hotel grounds, well what can I say? Being a northerner it made me proud of the landscape (we're very proud of our landscape in the north of England) it was amazing, set in the queens own country park, beautiful view wherever you look, huge lake in front, woodland all round, better than any hotel I've stayed in and I stay in a lot with work. The restaurant was pretty much what you'd expect from a Brewers Fayre, good food, good staff, plenty of things to do with the kids as there is a kids play area, after a big meal go for a walk into the woods. Basically if your in the area for a night away whether business or pleasure try and stay here, you won't be disappointed

Prices of food could be better for what get but food is nice to eat be again could be better. Kids are allowed in for meals and there is an area for kids to play with a basic soft play although this can be spoilt slightly by bigger kids running wild and any small children getting hurt. A nice place to go with family be is pricey for what get. It is located right next to the QEII lake so always the option to go for a walk around the lake after also.

I spoke to a man who I thought was the manager and asked if they had feedback systems. he said not, but I could tell him. so I pointed to the plate full of food, stated it was the worst carvery in my life and explained why. he then took mine and my other half's plates away to speak to the chief. I watched him go in the kitchen, could see the chief who at this point had his tongue down a lady's throat on a plus it did appear she worked there. the manager then came out if the office, walked past us and that was that. so if your looking for a nice meal avoid avoid, like the plagues

Also a new children's playground added outside which is fenced off to stop the kids running off. The place also has plenty of parking available right outside so easy to get to if one person not drinking alcohol! Great friendly service always given. Prices have increase a bit since the refurbishment but good quality food given and great service as well - worth trying one night or for Sunday lunch. Menu is not just your typical bar meals but have some more restaurant type dishes available.
