They diagnosed the issue in no time and even though I was panicking about loosing my data (no, i hadn't taken a back-up!) they managed to transfer it back to the laptop once the hard drive had been replaced. I received an email updating me on every step of the progress of my machine and have now purchased RhinoDrive, their cloud back up system so I don't need to panic about losing my data again. Yes they use recon parts stripped from other machines, but they repaired my Mac within 10 days when no one else could/wanted to, at what I considered to be a very fair price of £320 ... much better than the £2,000+ needed for a new machine (as advised by KRCS ... who even then didn't seem bothered about advising on the best solution, despite the fact I had money to spend!) I'd definitely recommend and use again ... thanks guys!

I have had two power failures whilst my Imac was turned on (I could not get the Imac to start up again), the first occasion I took it to Mac Repair Nottingham to be told a power supply replacement was needed at a cost of £150, this job seemed to take 15 minutes whilst I popped for a coffee, on a subsequent power failure where I could not get the Imac to start a local store closer too me simply showed me how easy it is to restart an Imac with such problems (No new power supply needed) and also stated that it seemed the power supply had not been changed on the previous occasion at all. I contacted Mac Repair Nottingham who told me the "Replacement" (If indeed there was one) was in fact a refurbished unit of the same age and type as my previous one (So no way to tell if it was replaced at all). At no time whilst in the store or upon asking for payment was it mentioned that they used an old part and to me £150 for 15 minutes leaves me feeling mugged (That's £6,000 per hour then). Ask exactly what you will be getting for your quoted price before you agree and ask if new parts are being used.
