Manager Brian and his crew are top notch. The NY style pepperoni and luau pizzas were a 10/10. We also ordered buffalo wings and cheesy bread which were a perfect addition to the pizzas. I HAD been a fan for many years .. this is not the case anymore. Was be of the worst pizza I ever had. The topping were scarce . Les that teaspoon of Italians sausage on each slice. No cheese.. crust is flat and taste like cardboard Greek salad was all spinach . Less than a tablespoon in the large Salad. Don't waste your time or money.. terrible. We are locals and get Bubba's a couple times a month. It's always perfect! I love that the crust is thin but firm enough to pick up without it flopping over and losing everything. The toppings are always fresh. Their desserts are made in house and are to die for. I've had their cheesecake, key lime pie and red velvet cheesecake among others. They are fresh so they change. Make sure to ask and get some to go! I see a lot of reviews complaining about a busy staff or long waits. It's a small shop so yes it's gonna take a long time if orders are coming in during spring break or other busy times. Seems like a lot of the tourists don't understand that they're the reason there's a long wait. This staff is awesome with their regulars, or anyone, when times aren't hectic and they're rushing to get 40 orders out. People think they're the only ones ordering or theirs should take priority. Oh my gosh. This place is SO cute. Fiancé and I moved from El Centro Beach / Lullwater subdivision down to Laguna Beach. I've reviewed Dr. Norm's before -- this place is on the same side of Back Beach but across the street. Anyway, the parking lot is small so if it's busy just keep that in mind. We ordered carry out since COVID is still a thing. The guy accidentally made us a large instead of a medium and HOLY. It's HUGE. We ordered the Matty and the S'mores Pizza. Both soooo good. Dinner and dessert. The people are nice. Customers and regulars and the employees know their locals. It's a cute little hole in the wall with excellent pizza and a great vibe. We've been going here for years and it's always the best (and biggest) pizza around for the money. Now I'm not a fan of their in dining experience. It's small, loud (kitchen) and HOT! Ok so we got pizza (the Matty) to go from here a month or so ago and it was so, so good. Ordered the same thing to go tonight and it was burnt. A $30 pizza shouldn't leave the kitchen as burnt as it was. Definitely disappointed considering how great it was the first time we had it. I just wish they tried as hard as that to make a flavorful menu. This remains the most disappointing meal of my entire existence. Both pizzas were overpriced, bland, sauceless messes that I doubt even the roaches and mice outside of the restaurant would bother to snack on. A margarita pizza with dried shaker basil instead of fresh basil on it is ridiculous for $30 and coupled with soggy crust and less flavor that a wet mop - no thank you. The veggie pizza was so terrible that I doubt even worms would make compost from it. Not to mention rude staff, long wait times, terrible atmosphere, and even worse chakras. I always read previous reviews before writing my own. In my visit for take out today I ordered a medium pep & sausage. They said 10 minutes. Like I have experienced at Bricks and Barley and Paparazzi Deli, it appears that Bubba's Pizza pre-cooks the crust then adds toppings later. I can tell because I went in to pick it up after 10 minutes and the pizza was cold. The crust was not even warm nor crispy on the bottom. The taste was "ok". The search goes on for a made to order fresh baked NY style pizza. I'm 0 for 3. The staff at Bubbas were very nice. read more

Pizza wasn't really cooked all the way through, I ordered the Luau pizza. The diced ham was very "hoggy" tasting. My issue is that I paid $50 dollars for a pizza that wasn't worth it. The store closed after my pickup so I couldn't address the issue and allowed them to correct, but it shouldn't have been served, a 50 dollar pizza should be perfect. read more
