Title: Avoid Eric Walker and Grasshopper Roofing at All Costs - Incompetent, Incomplete Work, and…read moreUnprofessional I posted on Nextdoor looking for an experienced contractor to install a kitchen exhaust fan venting through my brand new roof. Eric Walker from Grasshopper Roofing (also known as Grasshopper Construction LLC, based in Fayetteville, AR - website: grasshopperroofing.com) reached out, confidently claiming he'd done this job "many times before." Unfortunately, it quickly became clear he had no idea what he was doing. The installation was poorly executed: wrong size ducting (4-inch vent on roof instead of required 6-inch), wrong location, not attached to the microwave, trim around the duct improperly installed and unfinished, and not painted to match. A subsequent contractor who inspected the work confirmed multiple serious errors that could lead to leaks, poor ventilation, and roof damage. He refused to complete the full scope we'd agreed on, became highly argumentative when I pointed out the issues, dismissed helpful guidance (I even showed him a YouTube tutorial), and demanded full payment while leaving the job unfinished. This was not just subpar--it felt dishonest and unprofessional. I strongly recommend staying away from Eric Walker and Grasshopper Roofing / Grasshopper Construction to avoid the headache, potential damage, and financial loss I experienced. Choose a truly reliable and experienced contractor instead. https://www.grasshopperconstructionllc.com/

My house was destroyed by a fire. George's was hired to replace our HVAC system. It was very hard…read moreto get timing and answers from them from the get go. The owner was unfortunately ill and there was not a Plan B and it held up occupancy on our build. We took occupancy in October and the following summer it was extremely hot upstairs. We realized that the amount of vents that were on the plans were not installed upstairs. We called George's and they didn't know if there was any duct work leading to where the vents should be. A few weeks later the compressor wore out. The compressor was replaced under warranty. The next summer the upstairs was a good 15 degrees warmer. We got a second option from another popular HVAC company and was told the unit was way too small for our home and the compressor would continue to fail. We had a mini split put upstairs. The following December, the unit compressor and wring burnt up AGAIN. Another HVAC company stated that they had never seen such a poor install and I should call George's and have them make it right. On Dec 10, I reached out to Georges. I was told the person that I needed to talk to would not be in the office until after the first of the year. I reached out January 5th I reached out and was told it would be a few more days. That went on for days and finally I was told that nothing was wrong and that the right unit was installed. I asked for specific load reports that should have been in the file and it took over a MONTH to get the report. I listed my home in April and upon inspection, I was told the compressor had burned up as well as the board. I had turned my heating off in March and didn't realize it had gone out again. I called Georges to come out and they confirmed and told me someone would be calling me the next morning to go over next steps. I finally reached out to them mid afternoon and never heard back. In the meantime, I called the manufacturer and was told it was under warranty but I'd have to pay for labor and Freon. Georges called back on Monday and said they were waiting to hear about warranty from the manufacturer. I had talked to manufacturer three days prior. So I called my realtor's HVAC and they got me a bid in one afternoon after speaking with the manufacturer. They started the work two days later. I then received a bid from Georges about the same work only they were three days late and over $1000 what the company that was already working on it had quoted. Every time it has gone out, I have had to pay over $2000 labor to get the warrantied part reinstalled. SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG for a compressor to go out three times in four years!! The customer service has been absolutely terrible. The ghosting and gaslighting has been very troubling.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Good Faith Solar during the sale of my home. They were…read morehired to inspect my solar panels and initially claimed they were installed incorrectly, requiring specialized clips--at an extremely high cost. Concerned about the quote, I hired another reputable company, which completed the work for a fraction of Good Faith Solar's price. When Good Faith Solar returned for another inspection, they changed their assessment entirely, now claiming my system was a fire hazard. Both companies were supposed to meet for a final review, but Good Faith Solar failed to show up. The company I hired thoroughly inspected the system, documented their findings with photos, and sent everything to Good Faith Solar--who gave their approval. Then, without notifying me or getting my permission to be on my roof, Good Faith Solar showed up unannounced and once again reversed their assessment, declaring a fire hazard. At this point, it seemed clear to my family, realtor, and the other company that Good Faith Solar was attempting to push their services rather than conducting an objective inspection. This experience was filled with contradictions, missed appointments, and shifting assessments. I cannot recommend Good Faith Solar to anyone looking for fair and transparent service.

I called Good Faith with no knowledge of them, but since Shine Solar was no longer in business I needed someone fast. GF gave me a price over the phone and I agreed. Turns out, Shine installed the panels incorrectly causing the leak. They worked with the roofer, coordinating times, getting the panels off and back on. They then contacted me to let me know the cost was significantly less than they had quoted. I asked for a quote on inspecting all 42 panels for other poor installations. I didn't want to wait for the roof to leak in other places and was hoping to get ahead of the issue. They came out and did a full inspection in the attic and on the roof of all panels. They found no additional issues and did not charge me for the inspection. GF had multiple opportunities to get more money from me and take advantage of me and clearly didn't. They lived up to their name

I have a 2 month old baby at home, and without me even asking, Will made a point to work on the opposite side of the house while the baby napped--he even shut doors to help keep things quiet. That level of consideration is so rare and so appreciated! Beyond that, Will went above and beyond in so many ways. I was struggling to hang a baby gate and he kindly offered to help--and hung it in minutes. When our movers were having a hard time getting a heavy gun safe up the stairs, Will didn't hesitate to jump in and help them get it moved safely. His work was top-notch, and at a great price! He replaced all our outlets and switches, updated our breaker boxes, installed new plugs for our TVs, and even added extra outlets in areas where there just weren't enough. He also worked on our smoke detectors and installed lighting for us. Every time he noticed something that wasn't quite right (left behind by whoever did the electrical before... obviously not a professional, who left a lot of mess to clean up) he explained what the issue was clearly and always had a smart, safe solution. At one point, he even repurposed a random loose wire that had been left behind to create a new outlet and another for light fixture we will install later. So clever and efficient! Will is the kind of person you just feel lucky to have working in your home. I can't recommend him enough!
