It really is worth the trip, not far from the nearest metro stop it best described as a grainy hipster bar where 99% of the clientele are locals. There are retro pictures on the walls and bicycles hanging from the roof. Apart from that it is pretty basic with no fancy edges, just a chalkboard with 10-ish craft beers from across the globe on tap. I had an amazing IPA from New Zealand which is one of the best beers I have had on this trip to Copenhagen. Definitely worth a look if you like new beers and want to get of the beaten track. (Sadly no wi-fi though)

I was dragged here after a hearty meal at the Ethiopian restaurant on the same street further down Nørrebrogade and this place is just perfect. I like that there are more and more craftbeer bar in Copenhagen that gives no excuse to drink a bad beer. They have their beer list on the blackboard by the bar and you could get a taste of what you will order, and since it's called Ølsnedkeren, they make their own bottled beer as well. Cheap beer, always the same locals, and one of the best spots to play Danish billiards. When ever I walk in the door I almost always see familiar faces, immediately get offered a beer and then get whipped in billiards. Connie and Piet are always there running the table, enjoying a cold refreshment and being friendly. I always migrate to the juke box and feel the need to play Country music just because it seems to fit the ambiance perfectly. This is always one upped by some classic Danish music like Kim Larsen that never ceases to get the entire bodega singing along. this is one of those great spots where you get a mixture of old locals, young hipsters, stale cigarettes, and friendly but surly bartenders. Highly recommended if you are looking for a cheap place to hang out and buy a few cheap beers.

My mum forces me to come here all the time and I swear it gets worse each time…read more They advertise eggs on their menu but their machine is generally broken or they do not know how to use it and therefor you can rarely get eggs. Today my mum tried ordering a breakfast plate and was yelled at by the man working at the counter when she asked why the egg system was so corrupt. They serve very little food here. There's only really cheese and bread and there is supposedly meant to be eggs. Personally, my brother and I usually go to the nice Lakaghuset next door for our food and we just get a semi-decent drink from Emmerrys. We have had so many bad and disappointing dining experiences at this particular Emmerrys and everytime we say we do not want to come back but my mum likes it here for some reason. Emmerys is in a prime location in the middle of Strandvejen with a lot of property to build the cafe on. They have put this space to waste and could be using it for much more if the staff here focused and put in more work. Emmerys is an okay cafe but there are much better ones on Strandvejen which I would suggest going to.
