I'd give a 0/5 if I could…read more Seemed like a great guy to begin with as he was willing to give us a quote for our damage from the hurricane and then allow us time to gather the necessary funds. Once we had our funds secured he said he'd be there within the week to begin work, which we were thrilled to hear, despite being shocked as it was the week of Thanksgiving. He didn't show. No communication, either. The next week was no show, no communication as well. His guy came once for about 15 minutes to check the color of our shingles and one other instance where he was gone within the time it took for me to get outside to greet him after I saw his truck pull up. All the while, their business sign sat in our yard giving him free advertising to cars passing by. We reached out multiple times and were always met with excuses for why nothing had happened. I've no idea if they were genuine, and I would like to believe they were, but the fact he couldn't shoot a text to let us know that something had come up *before* we had to ask was disappointing and, frankly, unprofessional. Finally, we were told his guy was going to come "after lunch" on this past Wednesday, 12/13. We asked for an updated written quote before he began work, which is supposed to happen as we had asked for them to fix something additional from the original quote we had been given, and it never came through. Ended up not mattering as lunch and then dinner passed, and once it was clear he wasn't going to come at all as it was now swiftly approaching dark and he wouldn't have the necessary light, my husband reached out to see what was up and was given yet another excuse, this time about insurance adjusters. We talked and decided together to let him go and seek help elsewhere, so yesterday, 12/14, my husband sent him a kind, yet firm text stating this decision and asking him to please come remove his sign from our yard. Lucas seemed to be fine, and the sign was promptly removed, yet today my husband got a nasty text from him. In the end, I'm not sure what the issue was, but I will never suggest him to anyone. He gave a very competitive price originally, which is a large part of why we went with him, but what does that matter if no money ever changed hands and no work was ever done? I've no knowledge of his work, but his unprofessional behavior would taint it anyway.
