Please understand that automobile accident cases where insurance companies are covering the costs are much different then a personal injury case not involving an automobile. A personal injury case requires great attention and a good lawyer while an auto accident case can be handled buy a monkey and we all know there are plenty of attorneys out there who fit that adjective. My case was a personal injury case which included broken bones in the left foot , let me say that again "the left foot." Just for starters the day following the opposing sides deposition of me Mr. Haffner and I had a telephone conversation and for several minutes of that phone call Mr. Haffner in a very angry temperament insisted my injury had been to my right foot and not my left as testified by me just hours before even though he had the x-rays and the doctors reports that stated my left foot. His tenuous behavior as to his assumption of the wrong side of my body which the injury took place just hours after a deposition had me extremely puzzled as to his actual mental capability to handle this extremely simple case. I can maybe understand a momentary lapse of memory from my attorney but for an attorney to argue with his client about what part of his client's body was injured is not only inexcusable but downright negligent as well. Any lawyer who does not remember which side of the body his clients injuries occurred on especially after spending the entire previous day discussing which side of the body the injury occurred and where the injury occurred can only demonstrate as to how the attorney is oblivious to his client and could care less. This was just one one of the many red flags that went up during my time with Mr. Haffner others included lying. One day he would say how he has won 31 major cases and then the next week it was 36 cases and the following week after that he had won 32 cases, we all know a liar cannot remember what a liar says. I could go on and on about the many reasons as to why I would not have chosen Matthew Haffner to represent me had I been previously warned about his behavior however I believe just my foregoing comments are enough to send great caution for any future potential clients of Mr. Haffner to consider while shopping for their next attorney. I can assure you there are many attorneys far better then Mr. Haffner I would have preferred to have left a great referral as this would mean I was treated with respect sincerity and in an earnest way but unfortunately this was not to be the case with Mr. Haffner. I blow caution to the wind for anyone considering Mr. Haffner as their attorney and put the red flags where they belong only so others will not fall victim to another bad attorney such as I have with Mr. Haffner.
