Never actually had drugs dispensed here, but all other dealings have been overwhelmingly positive. British pharmacies are amazing and this is a great example. And it is even more fantastic because it introduced me to a magical sleeping pill called Sominex. This stuff actually works and coming from a girl who has had chronic insomnia since the age of 17, that is saying A LOT! Only bummer is, they won't sell me any more than 2 boxes at a time! So unfair. I realize they do this off the off chance that I may be trying to off myself, but still, I need my sleepy drugs. Luckily, I know how to walk and I was able to just hustle my butt around London and pop in to every pharmacy I saw and stocked up. Hey, I'm not proud, but you made me do it, London!! :)

This is a decent-sized branch of the ubiquitous chain of chemists, spread over two levels, which…read moreshould suffice for all your general pharmacy and toiletries. It's useful in having generous opening times (until 21:00 Monday to Saturday). OK, Boots is not the cheapest place to buy many items, but they do have some good offers from time to time, and the savings aren't worth trekking elsewhere for, in my view. It has a large and spacious pharmacy section at the rear lower level, an area for toiletries and cosmetics at the front, and there's also a small cabinet selling drinks and sandwiches. The electrical and photographic sales sections are fairly limited, compared with larger stores, though it's fine for printing and developing. Staff are friendly and helpful, although queues can form in the pharmacy at peak times.
